Every spring about 2-3 weeks before the more popular Somei-Yoshino cherry blossoms bloom (white petals), bloom, there are several varieties of sakura trees blooming around the central Tokyo area. While they are not very well known, this can be the best time to see these spring blooms without the major crowes usually found during the main season. This video is a collection is of my favorite earlier cherry blossom spots in tokyo that I shot this year during between the 2nd and 3rd weeks of March, 2024. Hope you enjoy them, and please feel free to hope around using the timestamps below. 03:55 Kyunaka River 19:14 Tokyo Skytree 22:01 Ueno Park 25:31 Shiori Park on the Sumida River

I enjoy these walks with you! I don't know how you do it, but I'll see something during your walks and wonder, "Hey, what's that over there?", and you somehow you instinctually read our minds and go exactly where we want to look! Haha! These are such a treat, thank you so much for your videos.

Very nice! Tech question please…..do you use a CPL combo with a VND? Do you constantly adjust the cpl as you move around to prevent light n dark regions shifting as you move in relation to the sun?

Used neither, just a low iso

@@VIRTUALJAPAN ahh so I gather you’re running high f/stops to control exposure and keeping the shutter speed at the 180 rule? Shooting SLOG3?

Hi there! I recently came across your beautiful video of cherry blossoms in Japan and I'm truly amazed by the quality of the footage. I noticed in the video description that you provided a link to your camera setup. However, upon checking the link, I found a list of multiple cameras and it wasn't clear which one was used for this specific video. Could you kindly share which camera you used to capture this stunning video? I'm very curious because I'm interested in video making as well and your work is very inspiring. Thank you in advance!

Hi! Thanks for the video! I was in Japan for the cherry blossoms in 2016 and have long enjoyed watching your walks, especially at night. Carefully studied your equipment in the description. And bought a stabilizer like you DJI Ronin RS3 Mini. But it doesn't give the same level of stabilization while moving as you have in your video. The horizon floats up and down from steps, even if you walk very smoothly. I've been experimenting for a few weeks now with motor strength and power settings on different axes, but I didn't get the stabilization like yours. Especially since my set-up is lighter than yours - I have a Sony a74 and Sigma 16mm APSC. Please hint at least what is the matter - gimbal settings or do you stabilize in post processing? Thanks again!

You may want to try a wider lens. With apsc crop that’s 27mm, plus any addition crop for stabilization, so maybe about 30mm. Maybe try the Sony 16-35 f4 full frame lens for better results
