Location recommendations are good but logistics made no sense. Tourists are likely to take the metro to get place to place, day 1 sends the folks all the way to the south then goes to the central west east. Day 2 tells them to go to the west then east. Another day then tells them to the Center, south and then North, etc. It would have made more sense to group the days by area. So anyone on the west side visits Shibuya, Harajuku and shinjuku.

Any advice for a single guy, celebrating his 40th birthday by himself in Japan in April? Looking to visit some temples, some non-tourist stuff, and I don’t eat any fish 😐
@B1ackAlloy19922 жыл бұрын
@@JCTheLawnCareGuy the misconception is that there is mainly just fish out there. You will have a lot of options out there. That is one of things I loved about Japan. The food options are endless. In terms of where to go and etc it just depends. Me personally I loved Kyoto and Osaka a little more than Tokyo. You will be surrounded by tourist more then likely no matter where you go. I would say just specifically look for the temples you want to see but then just wonder around at that point. There is just so much to see that you can’t go wrong to be honest.

Its a nice video to get some ideas from, but i find quite a lot of activities to be stereotypical and primarily for tourists. Don’t get me wrong, if you like those kind of things you are going to have a good time, But if you wanna see more of the “real” Japan i wouldn’t recommend filling your plan with all these places. I would recommend venturing out to the outskirts of tokyo and visit more local places. Again, that would be my personal recommendation. furthermore its good to keep in mind that the sakura trees you see at the end only bloom during a short period every year (normally sometime between march and may).

Booked a trip at the end of March into April for Sakura season. Spending 5 days in Tokyo, then going to Kyoto, Osaka and Okinawa. It should be noted that this video mentions sakura, but fails to mention there's a season for them. Yes, the trees are always there, but they only bloom during a few weeks in the Spring.

Good for being very informative! However, as a cinematographer and Vlogger, your sound (imo) was is serious need of ducking when it came to VOs, which is essentially much of the content. i.e., the music under way you were saying was masking it from being Cleary (and routinely) heard :)

Hi there, visiting in beginning of February 2023...is a good time?
@uthonexamnav93452 жыл бұрын
Depends on how you view good. February normally is off season which means less tourists (although a rise in tourists is suspected during the beginning of 2023 after Japan lifting covid restrictions). Furthermore the weather leans more towards the cold side in February, so if you are fond of that its a good thing as well. For Tokyo itself i would say a lot of places are open whole year round so going in February shouldn’t be much different than going there during summer.

What do you mean saying it's a tourist trap? The temple (Senso-Ji) is beautiful, the surrounding area is charming, full of shops and smaller temples and shrines. The Sumida river is right next to it, there's a beautiful view of the river with the Asahi building and the Tokyo Skytree. There's usually people wearing kimonos. And yes, it's crowded, but like any other place in Tokyo. I think it's a great place. (I live in Asakusa and I love it)
