Love your channel PVG! I think you should do a Halloween edition on how Japanese culture celebrate Halloween or maybe traditions for us abroad that would like to know. Hopefully that works. Keep up the good work PVG!

Hi peter. I would like to see 1. The gold coloured ice cream cones I'm sure there is one at the senso-Ji temple amongst all those shopping alleys 2. The tsukiji fish market would be great as well 3. Either a claw machine episode or a visit to one of those multi level shops that have every kind of small boxed toy car where you can get any model which my son just loved or Takeshita street or finally a joint venture with John daub at the golden Gai ( probably I guess there is no filming there maybe) Loving your videos over here in Australia. Yes I know you only said three ideas 😁

Suggestion for Edited Video: I would love to see you and Jyoji create your own short kabuki story in Japanese (all dressed up in makeup and costume) and you could edit with English subtitles or voiceover. Perhaps a fictional story made up by Jyoji or combined effort inspired by your own family journey from America to Japan, for example. If you’re feeling ambitious, you could turn the video into photos and compile/edit them into a stop-motion video for a cool effect...stop-motion kabuki! 😸👹👺⛩🇯🇵

I like the idea of putting a GoPro on Jyoji and your doing a narration of what's going on. That could be hysterical.

Now that was a FUN show. A couple ideas. 1st: are there any Zoo’s or Aquariums near by? Would be interesting to see the zoo and aquatic life in Japan. 2nd: are there people in need of charity that the locals reach out to? I live near Baltimore city and we frequently help the homeless and hungry, providing holiday gifts for children as well. Including my my children in charity work , showing the next generation how it’s done. Our next event will be as simple as handing out water to runnings involved with a cancer prevention run. Thank you for your awesome shows. Can’t wait for the next one. JimDogg

I would like to see comparisons between Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines, their history, methods of construction, and maintenance. A cursory description of Jyoji's current and prospective curriculum might be interesting as well. How long is his school day? How much homework is he assigned? How many kanji for a given period does he have to learn? And why don't you strap on a multilingual sandwich board with flashing LED's when you're out and about to boost subscriptions?

Great stream Peter! Lots of fun! Would love to see something on Japanese design, be it garden or architectural or clothing (You're a clothes hound with unique taste Peter :) Love the Japanese aesthetic. The bike trips would be good to extend your reach to bring us more things. Things with you and Jyoji could be family fun activities around Tokyo.

Here is an idea for you and jyoji: Let him try international food available in Tokyo. And those unusual ones - like Nepali, Malaysian, South American etc. And then later you can try to replicate the recipe back home and let Jyoji say how close is it to the original taste.

O my goodness, you and Jyoji are a blast. You must take the price for best dad. Happy 50th belated but heartfelt....you look amazing.....always wanted to ask you about your beautiful complexion. Does Jyoji practice yoga with you? I visited Ghibli museum and loved it, does your son like any Ghibli characters? Also I was blown away with these cute little uniformed 7-8 year old little girls riding the subway all alone.....would you be ok with Jyoji doing that? How about sending him to the grocery store by himself with a camera to see what he buys for dinner.......I love your channel, you have such a great sense of humor......by the way you look 40 ish. Happy birthday to Jyoji you mentioned his upcoming B day. Does Jyoji have a special meaning? Thank you for your very entertaining and enlightening channel keep up the fave work.....from El Paso, Tx with love. Adios amigos

Alma Oaxaca thank you Alma! You win for your beautiful message! 😄 Thank you for the kind compliments! I feel 1/2 of 40 so guess I’m doing something right. Occasionally Jyoji joins my yoga at home. I like that idea of sending him to store with camera and see what happens. 🤣 He occasionally rides the train solo on a train but only 4 stops and I’m ok with that. Jyoji’s name btw means STRONG SAMAURAI Also we went to the Ghibli museum here. Loved it!
@almaoaxaca11346 жыл бұрын
Peter von Gomm . Thank you for answering all my questions, you are most kind. Jyoji’s name is awesome. Riding the train all alone at his age is unbelievable.......”Only in Japan” hahaha. You and your wife are raising a very sweet and fine little boy and we get to enjoy seeing this process. Always looking forward to your next antics. The nato ice cream challenge was so funny by the way. God bless and “asta la vista”.

I will tell three ideas. Let's say my first idea is the main idea, so nobody thinks I am trying to get toy with many answers. 1. Jyoji telling TOP 5 things to do in Japan and TOP 5 thing to eat. Kind of Japan through 9 year old's eyes. 2. Japanese record/vinyl collectors. 3. Why Japanese people like Finland? Moomins, Marimekko, Angry Birds, metal music, Hanoi Rocks...

Too disturbingly obvious there's absolutely no Lens prescription or otherwise in the prop frame's your mug is donning. You tube has some of the weirdest channels around like wearing glasses without lenses.

The very very weird thing about You tube & Google's Lack of acknowledgement is unlike on Normal TV and Television movies ,the Script or Lettering on KZbin is Always friggin disturbingly Ass backwards , like doing the Stupid porn Mirror shot wearing a shirt with Lettering on it in the mirror and in the static image again the Lettering is Reversed or Backwards ,Why won't Google simply fix this dumb thing on this Website ? Can you imagine how many people who would go absolutely insane by now if all the TV shows and movies the Written script is all Screwed backwards ? The mental institutions would be overflowing by now & a long time ago Actually since the debut of The black and white TV day's. Right at the beginning of this video your t-shirt is all backwards in its Lettering with you and your funny gapping smile rubbing it in ah ah look at and fail to read my reverse lettering shirt without going madd.
