『Tokyo Ghoul:re OP/Opening/Co shu Nie』Asphyxia『English Cover』

Thank you to xxWeiWei for allowing me to use his drum midi files! I would put his video in here, but I actually had to change the snare parts in the chorus since I used a different drum for editing/mixing. xxweiwei's playing was very fast and my drum couldn't respond to the fastness very well so I had to change it haha! Oh boy this was a fun song to translate. I don't usually play in multiple time signatures except 3/4. After translating this song, I would love to mess with these time signatures in an original song.
My hands are really tired from the guitar parts.
Also still working on singing. Pitch and breath control are still top problems. The blues note from this song (thumbs up).
I took the lyric translation and then I translated the translated lyrics into my interpretation of the song! Here's where I found the translated Japanese to English:

I really want to cover that new Uverworld song from Boku No Hero Academia, but I'm too tired from this song. Too much school work to do haha.
Also the thing that sucks about having a low voice is that my voice is competing with the bass and the kick LOL

Fucking amazing voice don't get me Wrong. Your deep voice added an amazing tone the song could've used a while ago. One little thing. In the beginning around 45 to 46 your voice went to a slight monotone compared to the rest. I couldn't get passed that and had to point it out. Again the video is amazing and you and your voice is amazing. Good job. P.s. my older brother is a type 1 diabetic so thanks lol means more then you think

Oh wow this was so long ago. The microphone played a big role (Shure SM57B) in the tone. I would lean more towards EDM style of mixing vocals if you like the mixing in my covers

Really nice cover, I found that at some parts the harmony (don't know if that's the right way of describing it) was a bit lacking, perhaps because you sang it in a lower octave? Overall, great mixing, great voice. You've earned yourself a sub :D Be sure to try a JP cover some time :D

O god sorry for the late reply apparently I had comments held for approval enabled haha. But thank you :D! I noticed that harmonies sometimes sound odd at lower octaves since the bass creates more muddiness. I think it's better to sing upper harmonies for my vocals rather than lower harmonies (depending on what note I'm singing).
