Strolling through Koishikawa Korakuen Garden, a deep mountain valley remaining in Oedo, Tokyo. Koishikawa Korakuen was built in 1626 by Yorifusa, the founder of the Mito Tokugawa family, in the middle residence of the Tokugawa family, and was completed in the reign of Mitsukuni, the second lord of the domain. Koishikawa Korakuen Garden is designated as a national Special Historic Site and Special Place of Scenic Beauty under the Law for Protection of Cultural Properties.
