Tokyo videos have that magical hold on us, making us plan impossible trips!

@ChewsToExplore yes, thats so true. Even doing and watching the same things about tokyo again and again is just awesome! Meanwhile I will also spent 5 days in Seoul, where I haven't planned a single day :=) 3 months left until my journey starts, I hope that everything will work out well 🙏

Hey, could you send me your plan? I'm having trouble making a concrete plan for my stay
@aleksandarnjegric68736 ай бұрын
@2001elham trust me, you don't wanna see that mess of a plan ^-^ I mean in the end it all comes down to what kind of person you are. There are many cardshops I want to explore (many of them in Akihabara for instance), also in Akiba going to a maid Cafe. Doing things like team lab, Disney world, Disney Sea, shibuya sky rooftop, takeshita street, meiji shrine, yoyogi park. Just a few things that came to my mind. It depends in your hobbies as well.. So how long wikk you be staying and will you be based only in tokio or are you also going elsewhere?

Recently came across your channel and am loving your content! You guys seem so chill and exude such good vibes. I look forward to seeing what y'all do next and wishing ya'll the very best on your future endeavors! Just going to leave some advice/tips here for anyone who might be interested: 1. IC Cards. If you're planning on only visting for a short while, I suggest a Welcome Suica (which has cherry blossoms on it) or a Pasmo Passport (which has Sanrio characters). I believe you get either or at both Haneda and Narita Airport. They're valid for 28 days and they work exactly the same as your traditional Suica/Pasmo- for transportation, shopping/purchasing things. And they're so much cuter in my opinion. 2. If you're primarily staying in Tokyo and plan on primarily visiting different cities around the metro area (e.g., Chiyoda, Shinjuku, Shibuya, Taito, Toshima, Ikebukuro, Minato, Meguro, Nakano, Setagaya etc.) please do not purchase a JR Rail Pass. (I['ll give some more context in a bit) Rather, and I'm so glad ya'll did this- get the Tokyo Subway Ticket. Comes in 24/48/72 hour durations, you can purchase multiple of them, unlimited subway rides and is between 4-10$. *These will not work on JR lines and is only exclusive to metro Tokyo. Other regions will have their own version or something very similar to this like Hakone Free Pass for Hakone, Tokyu Line for Yokohama, Amazing Pass for Osaka* 3. If you're planning on doing the golden triangle- Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka, it is absolutely still not worth your money to purchase a JR Rail Pass. You're best bet is to just get shinkansen tickets. I really encourage people to use the JR Rail calculator on their website to help determine if getting one would be necessary. (I myself am doing the golden triangle, along side trips to Hiroshima, Kobe, Himeji, Nara, Yamanashi, Kanagawa, Odaiba and a few more, and it still didn't add up to the total cost of the rail pass). 4. Alternatives would be overnight buses and sleeper trains. The prices do vary depending on season and what tier you plan on selecting. If you're thinking about these options it's best to book in advance because they sell out pretty fast. 5. Luggage lockers. Not a sure thing but has usually worked for me. The bigger lockers are the first ones to go so I've found it helpful to store my stuff the night before instead of in the morning. The lockers will only hold your things for 72 hours so I'd only suggest this tip for 2 day trips. 6. Lines. In particular, waiting in line for food. If you're going to a restaurant that offers reservations, do it. Secure your time slot. Otherwise just be aware that there's a good chance you'll be spending a lot of time waiting- especially if it's a popular place. I've waited up to 2 hours just to get into the doorway LOL. Check to see if the restaurant you want to eat at has other locations, you might have a better chance of being seated quicker if it's in a less popular area. In addition, have multiple food spots in mind as backup in case the line is way too long, or they stop taking people. 7. Literally if you want to eat pizza, eat pizza. So what if it's not "traditional". Strangely enough, Japan has some of the best pizzas out there. There are a few pizza spots that are considered to be in the top 100 list. Also, don't feel bad or embarrassed for eating at fast food joints or going to Starbucks. I will purposely go to them while traveling just so I can try exclusive items. I mean where in America would I be able to get strawberry mochi pies from McDonald's or pasta from a Wendy's. Eat wherever makes you happy. 8. A cute, personal souvenir to commemorate your travels is to collect stamps. Stamp culture is huge in Japan. You can find them almost everywhere. The most common places are train stations (eki stamps). You can also find them at tourist centers, observation towers, anime stores, bookshops, markets, and events. I hope you found some of this helpful!

Thanks, great timing we have a trip there coming in April!I looked at the hotel and it looks like a capsule hotel, do you think it's worth the savings? Come from America we've never stayed in one like that
@ChewsToExplore9 ай бұрын
That's awesome! Our accomodation was not a capsule hotel but we have stayed in a capsule hotel before. Capsule hotels can be a unique experience, especially if you've never stayed in one before. It's definitely worth considering if you're looking to save some money and have a different kind of accommodation during your trip.

In Japan ,there are so~many capsule style types of hotels & businesses hotels at $20--$50/night ranges & they're super clean & lots of amenities come w 'em !! Some freebies ,too !! Some even got hot springs !! You should keep googling ! They're very convenient because they're located right by the train stations or some are connected to train stations even !! 💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈️🇯🇵💕💞

Worse than the United now ,I believe ! But,yet ,some flyers are loyal to American airlines. I had used them about 7 years ago ,I enjoyed my flight w 'em !! ( from L.A.to S.F.)
