Great to see you showing us this as I'm thinking of getting one. As user and collector/builder of GBBR's for over a decade my thoughts on the the improving mag efficiency is probably due to air pockets in the gas tank, new mags often suffer from this (and rebuilt ones) where you have to manually carefully bleed off the air holding it vertically and lightly pressing the exhaust valve until you can smell the gas (as the escaping air comes out first and doesn't smell) and do this a few times until it's all gone leaving all the room in the chamber for the gas only. Then of course you've got the usual "how much liquified gas versus gaseous/gassified gas?" conundrum with the internal tube (that you mentioned) to get right lol.

Couldn't u fit longer inner barrels like your akm to improve the range?

Probably an obvious one but the Saiga mags have an adjustable output valve. I think by default it's set mid way for CQB fps limits in Japan. Did you open the valve all the way?

The inner barrels are shorter in the sbs compared to the long boy as well as the weaker spring in the nozzle.

Also tm themselves suggest to only run the Saiga if the mag is over 25C so either warm it up or only use in summer. TBH I’m just going to run an hpa adapter with it and that will solve most issues of power and gas. On a side note seems it will take tight bore inner barrels made for the springer shotguns like the spas12 etc but will need to cut them down to length and will need some way to hold them straight in the outer barrel could be another way to add power.

How's the long mag performance boss? Would you recommend them over hpa? I'm considering buying some long mags just for the reloads but I'm not sure on the gas efficiency and such on em.

I get 2 mags worth of bbs on a single fill with my full size. It’ll do 3 mags but they start to get weak like in the video. All 3 of my mags will do that. Does 1.2j or so on green gas.
@Jonezyyy167 ай бұрын
I'm looking at getting one of these and I've heard many things about it being underpowered (including this video) which makes me hesitant to buy it. It's good to hear yours can do 1.2J thouhj!

@AllAddsUp sounds great mate! If I may ask, how soon did you purchase yours? I'm thinking maybe it's a batch issue and these underpowered ones were from an earlier batch
@AllAddsUp7 ай бұрын
@@Jonezyyy16 I bought mine about 2 months ago. I don’t think it’s a super early one, I don’t see many in the US though. Shipping from Redwolf was pretty wild, but I ended up saving money over buying from evike with their mark ups. My only complaint so far is the non adjustable hop, but you can get pretty good results with .25s or .28s depending on the temperature/humidity.

I have the longer version and since I'm new to GBB's I would love to know if there are upgrade options that would fit this? Not sure if it is sharing the TM AK standard parts like rocket valve and magazine output valve. Also would be nice to know what furniture could be bought for this? I already have 115% bolt return spring and heavy bolt with HPA Airtac adapter but still I would love to know what else I can get to get this thing to roll.

@@DaSauceDatsBoss Sadly the thing broke down and replacement parts are nowhere to get so it is collecting dust ATM. I invested money to get it HPA'd and then it worked like for one mag, after which the loading nozzle totally broke. Well, whatever...

Gas efficiency is pretty poor, mine struggles towards the end of the mag. I’m using 0.28 with green gas and it’s mostly ok. As for usage, I’m planning to try it ghillie’d up as an ambush weapon paired with a MK23 for extra range.

I personnally still prefer the long version with a shorter barrel. But as nice as it is. I dont think its allowed in pistol shotgun gameplay it would'nt be fair and in regular game i think its outpassed by everyting starting with gas pistol and gas smg. So i dont think i would buy one. But it's a really cool looking gun

The SBS seems to be a bit weak. The 12k is can reach out to 55m with .32g. But for me its not Shotgun like enough. Never had effitience problems. On like 23°C outside, I got around 3 Mags before I regassed them. Never had one run dry.

Personally, that Saiga Version is hideous. On the other hand, a normal Saiga with the extended Magazine is a absolute looker. While you also mentioned the AKM/AKX, whats your Opinion in the 3D Printed Full Travel Parts that exist? Do you think you'd be interested in making a Jaeger Precision Full Travel Kit at some point ? :D
@Jaeger-Precision9 ай бұрын
Not seen those kits to be honest. But in my opinion it doesnt need it. The thing just works the way it is
@VAExXy699 ай бұрын
It does work like a charm, but a full travel bolt is the only thing that the TM AKM is missing for true greatness in my opinion. I did order the Volante Full Travel Kit, but since its coming from South Korea, it will probably take some weeks until its arrival.

Glad I purchased the full fat version (12k) with a view to shortening it for CQB as I wanted to use it out in the field as well as optimising it for CQB. As you have said there are only a few places that allow full auto CQB so the only benefit to me was the extra capacity magazine which James obviously didn’t drop off. That said I typically run HPA setups so invested in the Airtac adaptor to resolve the need for 6-8 costly gas mags.

Problem with nearly all cqb fields now that is you can only do 3 shots at a time which is ridiculous and that is just wrong. With thia rule especially in mine they dont allow shotguns and i said well i jsut ahoy once then and they said nope as peopke were complaining about getting over shot. Im sorry but i do shot 1 more time as in real life you want to make sure the peraon is de*d so youll cap one more just to be sure and in airsoft shooting them 1 more tims isnt gonna hurt your juat making sure they are calling it.
