My 10 year old son and I watched the SLS event in the Summer of 2023 at Ariake arena Tokyo. Nyjah got third I believe. Next day at Tokyo Station headed to the train, we see Nyjah with his crew, skateboards in hand looking like they were going to have a heavy session...We said "hey" to each other. It was a great moment for my son and myself as we're big fans.

I like that there are skaters now a days giving Nyjah a run for his money, 5-10 years ago if Nyjah was in a comp you get pretty much say he’d win, there were a few that would keep up with him like P-Rod and Chris Cole, but he was dominant, not saying he isn’t now, it’s just this new wave of skaters are ridiculous, I mean the tricks Yuto and Sora are doing are mind blowing

I think one of the problems with contests these days and also ties in with Nyjah not winning as much as he used to is that all the courses (street league and Olympics etc etc.) are built for women and men.... so all the obstacles are smaller. Think when he was winning everything on the courses were insane with absolutely massive handrails and huge drops. That's where Nyjah excels. Calmness in super dangerous situations. Wish you well in everything dude.
