I hope you didn't get ticketed by the coppers. 👮♂️👮♀️ That was a tight squeeze between that truck and bus. Always a little apprehensive when watching that. 😬 On the other hand, you could offer a pinstriping service, Peter's Pinstripes, you'll ride on by and pretty up their vehicle. 🤣 Was that gojuban bun made with black sesame? Yum! 😋😎👍🏍
@PetervonGommJAPAN4 жыл бұрын
Lol! Great biz idea JB! I may turn to that if the work drought continues! The black bun, good question. I didn’t detect a sesame flavor. Perhaps squid ink?

So glad you were able to get your son’s issue resolved. It’s crazy that in solving one thing another gets undone. Isn’t there like a place where you can donate instead of throwing out? I personally love books and try to buy used at Alibris.com then haul books to a donation station set up by our city library, each neighborhood has a friends of the library place to drop off books. Toys are a good thing to donate to local charities. Starting to pop up in neighborhoods are these brightly painted large mail box type things where you can leave books and magazines. Anyone can come and take whatever, even some Starbucks were doing it. Cancer treatment centers are also a good place to donate magazines. Anyhoo that Godzilla bun looks awesome......how expensive is it? I will certainly ck it out when life gets to where I can travel to Tokyo. Bon apetit and thank you for sharing both the bun and your personal tid bits......life would be so boring without the family drama wouldn’t it? Til next ride stay out of trouble, keep the Mrs PVG happy and give that cute son if yours a big hug.......pobre chico, que susto paso.
@PetervonGommJAPAN4 жыл бұрын
Alma Oaxaca Thanks Alma! Yes all good points. The toys we gave to another family, as well as some of the better books. But a lot of the magazines and things were old study materials with writing in them and things like that that weren’t worthy of a library or a donation center. I’m usually pretty good about making sure to recycle the desirable things with family and friends. 😊 Tokyo does not make it easy to recycle books and toys and clothes. There is a SALVATION ARMY here but they also have minimums for which they’ll come and pick up like a minimum of two or three boxes of stuff otherwise you have to send to them etc. etc. The GodZ buns aren’t too expensive. I think about 5-600yen. Spiiiiiicy! 😛

Ahhh, Kagurazaka, one of the neighborhoods I wanted to live in. It’s a blend of the two countries I love to visit: Japan and France. Omg that Jyoji-mom-pvg incident reminded me of the fights I had with my mom over the things she threw out without my permission! This was a cliffhanger with the cop approaching...

Can you lawfully lane split in Tokyo and/or Japan?
@PetervonGommJAPAN4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for asking Bryan! Yes you can ‘legally’ split lanes. It’s not in the rule books but the police turn a blind eye to it. However I’d say that if you have a crash while lane splitting there may be extra trouble 😁
