I feel so lucky. Am in Tokyo for a week and I get to see Snowkyo. Yesterday was a bit much, especialy in the evening with the strong winds, but today was perfect. Got up extra early this morning to snap some pictures in and around Tsukiji and everything was so beautiful with the snow and the sunrise. A bit later I went to Hamarikyu Gardens and I can't imagine it ever looked better.

I live in arctic northern Norway. Up here, what you guys have in Tokyo, we've had for a month. But if ppl aren't used too it, stay home unless you absolutely must go outside. Light candles, make a warm drink, snuggle up under all the blankets and read a good book. Then you have the famous Scandinavian 'hygge/kos' . Stay safe and warm🐱

I like the deserted cityscape at around 7:07. What is it about a city with (almost) no people in it and snow falling? I'm glad you made it home. Stay warm. Just out of curiosity, what is your Plan B? I mean, suppose you can't make it home? Can you camp out at work? What do people do? Speaking of which, when I think of Tokyo I imagine a lot of people but here it looks almost empty? Did most people leave early?

I live in Syracuse New York in the United States are so used to snow it's unbelievable but sometimes on the side streets especially where I live they don't get plowed until last that makes it difficult like you know if we have boots heavy coats anything else you need for the winter

It's nice to see someone so excited by snow 😂 where I live (3 hours north of Toronto, Canada) we have like 4 feet of snow or sometimes more at all times during the winter haha! We have giant snow plows that clear our roads but we sometimes still have snow days cause of blizzards... it's weird though because the last few days have been weirdly warm and rainy here??? I think you stole our winter haha

Cathy and Yuriko, I lived in New York all my life, snow to us is just something we deal with, but, Tokyo, it looks like New York City in Winter. Snow day off for all those hard working children! I don't get snow here usually. It did happen just and hour or two from me a few weeks ago. That is unheard of though. I've never seen or experienced snow myself. It does look romantic but so cold. It seems to me like a good reason to cuddle under blankets and have warm tea and good books or films. Especially with someone you can share body heat with.

I live in Canada more specific in Quebec and we always have snow. Just yesterday we received a other 20 cm. I think at the moment we received a total of 2 m of snow for this winter. Live in Sweden so we are snow prepared x) was really fun one winter when the lake froze to 1 meter thik (live on a island) the farry(Ship thing x)) could not get over to the next island so they had to use dynamite to blow a path for it. Even if there were "fans" in the water for it not to freeze x) it was -20°C that winter x)😄❄☃

It's the weird winter! Winter is taking it back I'm in southern East coast of USA and the first week of January: 10 inches! (NEVER SEEN THAT MUCH SNOW AT ONE TIME IN MY LIFE!) Second week of January: close to 20C. Third Week of January: SNOW AGAIN! LEAVE US ALONE SNOW, we don't know how to deal with you here! This week: Thunderstorms. I'm afraid for February when we normally see snow.

In New Zealand is snows in many parts. But never in the city I live in, but one time, maybe about 2011 ish it snowed for like 30 minutes. It was the most bizzare thing ever. At the moment though, we are having the warmest summer in our countries recorded history. In 2 weeks I will be in Japan I am looking forward to the cold. I think Japan and New Zealand have very similar temperatures in many ways.

The majority of Brazil is definitively not prepared for snow. I've met northeastern people that didn't own a single jacket or coat... Where I live on winter the temperatures have dropped to 9ºC usually dropping to 15ºC. So I do own jackets, however I've never seen snow in real life before. Someday I wish to see it, even though I might freeze. xD

That reminds me of December’s snow fall in my area of south Texas. It didn’t last very long but lots of people stopped to take pictures and video of it. We are definitely not prepared for the snow down here so if something like what hit Tokyo were to hit here I think a lot of people would not know what to do.

I’m surprised that it’s only 20 min delay. Trains here are 30 to 40 minutes delay and we live in snow every year since the beginning of time (Montréal,Canada). But I do have good winter tires (from a Finnish company and made in Russia) on my car.
