I can't believe I didn't come to Itoya sooner! It's just floors and floors filled with any stationery, art supplies and home accessories you could ever think of!

So the actual difference between the two Itoya’s isn’t actually the price range. One is for stationary, like pens, pencils, different types and thicknesses of paper, postcards, ink, leather bound books, calculators, etc. The second one is geared more towards art supplies like, colored pencils, markers, different kind of paints, paint brushes, sketch books, etc.

Yeah maybe the message came across a bit confusingly - I agree that the main difference is in the types of goods! But to me personally it felt like the taller Itoya definitely stocks more premium products than the smaller one, which is definitely a lot more 'practical' in focus, and that comes with a different kind of price tag .)

omg YES! I'm loving you so much right now for showing all 8 floors of Itoya! I've always wanted to at least glance at them but in most of the other videos I've seen they only tape a bit of the floor they visit and that's all.

great video! i love to see videos of people exploring and travelling, specially Japan. awesome vlogging skills, where u actually showed, and gave ample screen time to what u had written in the title. thank you for keeping the camera steady and letting us look properly during the shop tour. i love cameras and stationary,so would love to visit them both.

Thanks, I appreciate that! I also like when a video gives me a bit of time to have a look at things - but sometimes I really have to remind myself to go slow, especially when panning!

With all that amazing stationery around, how is it even possible to select even one pen that you want without buying large amounts of unnecessary stationery because you want to try all of it to find the perfect one????

Great video guys, I am so glad to see your new video. And must say hats off to Simon on making a stationery shop look that interesting, not that there not at all. And of course you presented it great. Ya, I know better then to offend a Czech women. I was a grown man and my 91 year old Czech grandma still loved to smack me upside the head. And I was always so good. But really, good job guys. Next your off to Hong Kong you said? Great City for sure. Hope you have a blast there. Can`t wait to see it.

Haha .D actually this one was all me! Simon was too busy taking pictures that day ,) generally if we're shooting something shorter from just one area, especially if it's low-light (because his camera deals with that better than mine!), then he'll be the camera man, but when I'm shooting something throughout the day or at home I shoot the footage myself .)

Aw man, I really wish I could... had a look around TripAdvisor but there's just SO MANY in the area! It was in Shinjuku, in the area around most of the department stores.

Hello! I just stumbled across your channel and think we need to be friends :D haha ok that sounds creepier than saying it in my mind.. I am crazy about stationery and travelling too. I love Itoya, did you go to Loft and Tokyu Hands too?
@Kakibot
@Kakibot 6 жыл бұрын
Haha, not creepy at all! I always feel kinda awkward about approaching people on KZbin with the good old 'we have so much in common, let's totes be friends!', but... is there really a better way? Haha. But yeah, I totally love Loft and Tokyu Hands too! I think Loft my be might favourite of the three! I love to check out the non-stationery gifts and kitchen goodies whenever I am there, too.

I'll definitely have to go there on our next trip. I've been to Sekaido in Shinjuku before and it was pretty awesome.
@Kakibot

That's the one that I keep missing! Next time I definitely need to go to Sekaido. I have to admit that the more I go to Tokyo the more I avoid Shinjuku but that's also because we tend to stay around Asakusa which has much better connection to places like Ginza and Shibuya!

Hi may i know the price for that copic marker?
@Kakibot

I believe they're about $4/£3 in Japan! So almost half the price the individual markers tend to be in UK!

Do you have a translator/speak japanese? Or did you get by just fine without knowing the writings?
@Kakibot
@Kakibot 7 жыл бұрын
I can read some basic Japanese and sometimes we used the Google translate app if we felt like we needed it (not mega reliable but will do)... but overall I don't think the language barrier is something to be worried about. Japanese packaging/menus/etc tend to be quite visual so it's generally easy to figure things out!
