(Review 84) Tokyo Xtreme Racer 2 Review for Sega Dreamcast. The mid 90's and early 2000's was such an awesome time for the JDM car community. it was the era that took street racing and drifting to the next level. it was an era filled wit people taking these 80's and 90's cars and pushing them to the absolute limit. Seeing how fast they could go,seeing how fast they could maintian that speed,seeing how fast they could drift through a corner. It was awesome. and this inspired many anime and manga like inial d and wangon midnight. and i thing this game captures the street racing sence very well.

I started playing the game today and man, Im hooked. Just spent the last two hours admiring the graphics and being impressed by the speed. No joke, the game looks so good, controls so smoothly and has such great soundtrack. It could legitimately pass of as a ps2 game, heck the game looks as good as an early PS3 title with lower resolution in a few cases (not often but still)

I remember when the Honda S 2000 came out all the young guys wanted one cuz it was sporty and looked cool, not to mention Hondas are some of the best cars you can get in terms of long term reliability

​@@RetroGamerReviewsno big deal:D I don't know from first hand either:) Also I think cutting off was smart thing insteed of doing mess like in tokyo 3 where without patch you can't even complete on 100% Insteed by beating bosses you get their cars with their vinyls Sometimes unique ones like porsche And rest is packed for Quick race i belive

man i just read 2 reviews and watched another video in addition to this one and not ONE person has mentioned the music in this game. The replay music is such a huge downgrade from the first game i would remove a point from its score just for that.

This game is worse than heroin. Be warned.
