I can't describe how I feel when I watch this video except to say that it was fab! Thanks so much for sharing your way of seeing the world with us!

Great video. I can’t remember the store (the one with the Godzilla shop) in Shinjuku. And they were making custom flower jars. Each one themed to what you want but most of the examples were anime characters. Was very cool/unique. My daughter made one.

Fabric stores were my goal on my last visit that totally failed on. I wanted to use it to cover homemade/hand made and sewn books. Thought the fabric would make a very unique cover, but after miles of walking on an injured foot I found that my research or GPS was wrong. Any good direction or areas would be great for my next visit. FYI... used locally sourced fabrics in my town and did hand drawn art work for all 14 books that I gave one to each family member. They still loved them.

Nippori fabric town is a place to head to for a HUGE selection. Yuzawaya is also a great place for fabric if you don't want to walk around a lot.

What are the different places that have a stamp, and do i need to have a notebook with me?
@tokyocheapo6 ай бұрын
The main one is train stations. The stamps will either be sitting out for you to use or you can ask the attendant next to the station gates for an “eki stanpu” and they’ll bring it out for you. You’ll want to bring your own notebook or scrapbook but it’s a fun way to collect some free souvenirs around Japan 😊

@tokyocheapo For each station that i want a stamp, will i need to exit the platform area, get a stamp, then go thru the gate again (with my Suica card)?

Mottainai flea market is permanently closed

There are flea markets all over Tokyo every weekend. There’s one in Shinjuku Chuo Park today and they’re often at Nakano Central Park. The largest flea Market is at Oii Racecourse every Saturday and Sunday.

Please, I beg you 🙏, don’t take a stamp rally book, purchased from Tokyu Hands, to the shrine or temple asking for goshuin 😮
@tokyocheapo6 ай бұрын
Yes great point! They can be quite strict at shrines and temples about what paper/book you are using.
