Pilot Hi-Tec C Coleto VS. Uni Style Fit Customizable Multi Pens

The one very important difference I've noticed between the Coleto and Uni Style Fit inks (I've been using both since early 2018) is that my Coleto always lays down ink immediately when I go to write with it, no matter how long the ink has been sitting unused. This is not the case with the Uni Style fit refills as I always find myself working at getting the ink to flow if I haven't used the pen for a while, something that is always a disappointment. If I was asked for a personal recommendation, the Coleto would be my pick as the ink flow has and is never an issue like I find with the Uni Style Fit. The Coleto 1000 is my jam, and I adore the pen cases, two of which (Mary Quant) I was able to purchase, along with the matching barrel, when they were offered. Thank you for the video!

I love the Coleto barrels, but I prefer the USF refills. As a heavy handed writer, they seem a bit more sturdy. Great video!

Uni barrels are my favorite and I enjoy the refills coming in tubes. But Coleto inks and colors are definetly the best, so pretty and juicy. I have all 3 novelty collections and use them all the time. Anyway, I love multipens and I miss vintage colors for them.

My preferred barrels are Uni Style 4s, I would rather their fancy 5s but it’s just a tad too chunky for me. Refills I prefer USF over Coleto (perhaps something to do with being a leftie?) but my blue and purple refills are Sliccies on your recommendation, and I love them! May swap to more colours in the Sliccies eventually…

I feel like Zebra and Pentel keep releasing new stuff and Pilot and Uni just keep taking things away that I love. I'm not sure what their aim is but slowly but surely as pilot and uni stuff disappears I find myself picking up Pentel pens a lot more. It's a shame b/c I was totally dedicated to the DX and the Meister 3 but now I find myself going for energel most of the time. The real shame is how the Uni Super Ink is getting harder and harder to find. I love that the ink is so permanent but they keep taking away my options
