love the fact that you describe the area around the building, the apt itself is awesome, glad someone thought an oven is worth putting in a $4m condo. i do wish the japanese figures out how to better integrate the IT for the house in 1 tablet for this level of condo. awesome vid as always
@HeyHeyHayden3 жыл бұрын
Great video, I can definitely see the massive improvements in making it compared to your first one. Showing both the location on the floorplan, and physically moving from the door of the previous room to the next does wonders for understanding scale and dimensions. Looking forward to seeing more.

The place is pretty nice for Japan, I can understand the price given the luxuries provided such as location, appliances, amenities, etc. But what I cannot understand in the slightest is the astronomical monthly fees. You mean to tell me that someone living there has to pay $1500+ for essentially having access to a "lounge" and having a clean building. No gym, no pool, nothing... Highway robbery!!!
@TheCrackingSpark Жыл бұрын
I love this channel! I recently decided that I wanna move to Japan and your channel is one of my favorite by far! The cameraman thing where you talk to him and sometimes interact I've seen that in other home tour channels as well, but I really like your dynamic here, like that one time you both got in the bath tub lol You're kinda chaotic which is to say the least unussual for this type of content, and you make it work really really well. Your videos are funny without loosing too much focus, and they're very informative as well, like showing the blueprints is a really nice touch. Keep at it man! I'm actually subing. Would love to see the ocassional regular apartment/home, middle class stuff and all, for the regular people. Just ocassionally. Also weird stuff like that one house that had a tiny house inside, that was actually dope lol

Really nice place, very western. 4 mil is a tad high for this as itself but since it's Roppongi i can see the price being raising by quite a bit. Looked at the area in G.maps and it seems it's also a quiet area at least from the afternoon till morning. Things I wish were talked about in the video are if the apt has parking or other amenities in the building.
@TokyoPortfolio3 жыл бұрын
The only amenities the building has is a garage and the first floor lounge -- it's hard to find low-rise buildings with many amenities here due to space constraints.

For a lot of people who aren't familiar, those air conditioning units are most likely Mitsubishi VRF mini split units that is connected to the large multi zone compressed out on the patio. The zoning makes the temperature perfect for each room. Some good and not so good things, as typical in Japan, the ceilings are always too low and many of the built in components can be a problem as they age. Overall, an excellent place and reasonable considering the prices in that part of Tokyo, the most desirable in my opinion. Would hate the kitchen however and use a Japanese toilet myself which are the best.
@xr6lad9 ай бұрын
Split systems are common the world over. In Australia all apartments have split systems and not building wide. Building wide doesn’t make sense. My apartment has one. And my country house has two (one in the bedroom and one in the lounge). Each with their own outdoor unit.

I know I’m late to this party but for $4.0 mn I thought it was a very poorly designed apartment. Kitchen sink too big and should have been divided. Kitchen could have had shelves on the blank end wall - wasted space. WHAT - no entrance to the courtyard from the lounge???? And the entrance from the bedroom was not down to the floor but step UP? And for $4 mn 2 of those bedrooms were pretty bad and small. PS despite my comments about the apartment I do love your videos.

Sorry for the spambot. The management fee covers concierge, meeting room, and lounge use, as well as window cleaning, AC and vent filter replacement, and a discount on the Hills Spa, the extremely high end gym and spa complex down the street in Roppongi Hills.
