Tokyo's INSANE JDM Underground Car Meet!

Once a year, hundreds of modified cars descend on Shibuya for the annual underground car meet. This brings out some of the best cars Tokyo has to offer, but also an insane crowd of locals and tourists alike. This year we check out a few events in the lead-up to the meet, including the Final Bout meeting, and then the Harajuku Liberty Walk Party.

I just love how much variety is in these meetings. Supercars, SUVs, Lowriders, JDM Legends, Euros, US, K-cars and all of them have a unique spin on them. It's just crazy too see them all bundled up!

Yes, free revving in an enclosed carpark (or anywhere) is a sure fire way to get the event shut down. Tokyo is in such a car festival mood right now, jealous that I can't be there. Also, props to the chill Honda Beat following behind respectfully as you were ending. 😂

This reminds me so much of the TokyoFreshMeet in 2017❤ We flew in for TAS and within a couple of hours of landing we were invited to the meet in Odaiba. It was equally insane and yeah the amount of people and the disruption the gridlock of cars trying to enter caused around the area brought an inevitable shutdown. There’s nothing like seeing the real Japanese car scene on the ground (or underground) seeing the variety where people go all in on niche builds. It’s a true thing of beauty. Really enjoying your content fuelling our need for another trip 👏👏

Awesome content like always, thanks Dino ! I might be wrong but the way that Honda at 19:54 is built is refering to the Peugeot 406/407 from the movies series 'Taxi' from France. The taxi thingy on the top is definetly some sorta replica or something from the french taxis. Btw, I don't know if someone can answer that but how popular are french cars in Japan ? Aside of newer models sold in car dealers ?
