TokyoStreetView - Japan The Beautiful

Sansa Odori is an amazing festival held every August in the city of Morioka. The origins of this festival lie in the legend of Mitsuishi, which gave Iwate its name. There was a demon that was causing problems for the villagers but the god Mitsuishi captured the demon and forced it to swear that it would never again commit evil acts. This vow was sealed with the demon pressing its hand into a large rock. The villagers rejoiced at this by dancing and singing “Sansa sansa,” giving birth to this festival.
With more than 10,000 dancers, drummers and flute players, the Sansa Odori is a 4-day festival, unique to Morioka, that offers one of the most impressive displays of Japanese culture that you could hope for!

I lived in Rikuzentakata for two years and was lucky enough to see this festival both years. Now I'm in Yokohama and have only been back once to see it. There are no words for it, just an amazing atmosphere. Thanks for putting it up. Reminds me why I love this country!

I stayed 3h and in RAW footage like this (My camera compress a 100Mb/s) we are talking about 2 128GB SD cards. I was alone, two cameras on static and another one not.

TokyoStreetView - Japan The Beautiful so over 250GB wow... And you did film all the time? Or click the pause button some times? And was it any time for you boring or did you enjoy it? And the other places, make you just the video and go away or stay you some time, meditate or enjoy the place and look a bit around without the camera? time is money or enjoy your life? ;)

I'm very unhappy to hear that Sansa will be canceled in this summer because of COVID-19. However there are no patients in Iwate Prefecture so far. I believe Sansa and Shinpei Goto, who was a prominent doctor and politician in Meiji era from Iwate, save the residents from COVID-19 demon.
@TokyoStreetView
@TokyoStreetView 4 жыл бұрын
The problem is not IWATE, but the amount of tourist that this even will bring, and potentially start infecting people in Iwate prefecture. This is sad, but the reality of that we can all live without any events or Matsuri for a year or two. Stay safe, stay home! And let's hope this will end soon!

TokyoStreetView - Japan The Beautiful I would be happy if I can see more from japanese, and yeah schools are different in the world, I saw a lot african schools from all the videos "we need help, pls spent your money" but never from Japanese only in Anime, so I hope you can try it. You did start your project of more public places and maybe you can visit the schools too, and yeah maybe say the schools its okay after all students are out of the school and you can show the rooms without the kids.
