Walking ballista can get around Krosan Grip too if played correctly. Simply wait to cast it until you already have arbitrary mana, cast it for X = some unimaginably high number, then once it resolves hold priority and repeatedly activate its ping ability targeting your opponents, holding priority after each activation rather than letting each one resolve. This way you don't pass priority until the triggers are on the stack, and any Krosan Grips are too late to be effective.
@Kryptnyt4 жыл бұрын
@@GrandpasMagic I think the first player to receive priority is always the active player.
@nikos7314 жыл бұрын
Of course I fail to see why the opponent will wait for us to have infinite mana and not just using the Krosan Grip in the scepter in response to its first tap....
@GamerdevilPro4 жыл бұрын
@@Kryptnyt This is correct, usually you have to announce that you maintain priority because usually you just shortcut it and pass without saying anything specific in a normal game.
@sharpshooter94074 жыл бұрын
Could you explain how that works? I was thinking that once you get all the pings on the stack, the opponent Grips the Ballista. The Grip goes on top of the stack, and can't be responded to. Thus destroying the Ballista before any of the pings resolve. I could be wrong tho, so I would like a little clarification
@madsante4 жыл бұрын

This video was so funny. I made a Kykar Artifact deck based off Jhoira! There's some fun cards you get to add with white as well. Weather it's something janky control like Hokori Dust drinker, ethersworn canonist, and aven mindcensor.. or more white good stuff for that Ischoron scepter. Infinite Mana is preferred but you can also slide in "white good stuff" like path to exile or enlightened tutor to tutor ALL the artifacts/enchantments! Kykar can also supply you with free mana so it could help to "storm off". It's theoretical but I think it's gonna be "a blast". (PS I recommend adding tidespout tyrant with at least 2 "Cheerios" and combo with Jhoira to draw your whole deck!)

Cool deck tech, like the acting too, twas a fun ride :) My degenerate side jus keeps thinking we could cut some of the wincons and add some more fas mana to make this deck kill on turn two pretty consistently, I'm thinking Mox Diamond, Manacrypt, Mana Vault, Lotus Petal, Hurkyll's Recall as a mini Paradoxical and maybe even an LED, though you could only crack that safely in response to a PO or Hurkylls. Just doing the math very swiftly in my head here, that's a casual $500 I'm adding to the deck value there, I just happen to own all these cards, I realise most will not want to spend these amounts on single cards for EDH.
