Just like in the late 1960's when PanAm first landed their B747-100 in MIA and we all came down to Perimeter Road to see her landing! A lot of history has transpired since! A lot of airlines gone TWA, PanAm, Braniff, National, Eastern,NorthEast(Yellow Bird),Piedmont, Allegheny, Republic, Ozark, NorthWest, Continental,Western,PSA but the aircraft and technology keeps on coming! Great vid ! The pilot are say "thanks and greetings" ( 3:01-3:14) To you guys-see it ? And that during start and climbing ! Wings down left and down right a little bit. We have in Dresden an A380 to fix some things on the wings.(AIR FRANCE) I have watch the landing. So quiet ! You find this vid in youtube. My last arrive in miami was 1995 with an A340. Greetings to you !

@CheaterNLaw I don't know, the weather was decent that evening and the captain managed to maintain level flight afterwards, except for being battered with rain up the climb (you can see the rain pouring at the end)

Enjoyed the landing, but liked this even better. Did he really tip the wings for the crowd or some other reason? Great job. Know it is not ECH, but I know his love of some planes too. I can not believe the amount of people there and I sure did cringe seeing them standing on the tracks. Were there any cops or RR police around?

Well, my reply comes very late :-):-):-): The day before it had been the first time that the world's biggest passenger aircraft, the A380 had landed in Miami. Never before had a A380 landed in Miami. The city of Miami was proud to welcome the world's biggest aircraft. In this video the first take-off of the A380 from Miami is shown (just 1 day later). In this video the operating company was Lufthansa.

@brickbuilder711 Heathrow is deffo the busiest airport in europe with over 65 million passengers in 2010,and it will raise for 2011... Paris,Charles de Gaule is on second place with 58 million passengers in 2010,and on third is Frankfurt with 53 million... but as you say... high enough traffic to use it there... Air France for example use the A388 to Toronto and Montreal,and the traffic there is surtainly not that high as the traffic to Miami and US in general...
