It's so painful for my ears and brain to listen to such unusual music... But I know, this is because of it is unusual, not bad. I'm just trying to accept unacceptable.

its not unusual, it just goes out of tune a lot.

It is not naturally easy for people who have grown up only with Western musical culture to understand this music. This is partly the result of genetics. This music is Turkish music that has developed within itself for centuries, uniting the cultures of thousands of years of Turkish, Greek, Iranian, and Arab traditions. Personally, even though I listen to Western music more, this music reminds me of my essence in an incredibly powerful way and brings out the depths of myself.
@romeolz7 ай бұрын
@@ahmetduman7979 i can say that genetics have nothing to do with it, for example i'm from finland, a country with pretty western music traditions, and i love this stuff! long-term exposure to a specific type of music is the biggest factor, it took me 3 years to get used to this stuff.

Isnt this just Arabic music
@TheDarkThiefYT Жыл бұрын
Well yes, but actually no. To be more precise yes Middle Eastern music often uses micro-tones in its scales and music it doesn't need to. To me Arabic music is a set of scales, rhythms, and stylistic features. As well as the fact that many other music systems exist around the world that uses micro-tones such as Indian music, which uses their own completely different system. I hope this is insightful :D

Why don’t y’all just play without tuning up instead of trying to reinvent the guitar?
@muzaffercetinkaya4529 ай бұрын
This is microtonal guitar
@romeolz7 ай бұрын
it's like re-inventing the wheel... if all wheels were squares and these guys invented circles ok bad analogy, the music of the middle east is not randomly out of tune, there are existing rules and guidelines similar to how we have the major scale, you could say that the instruments are "out of tune in a *specific* way". the purpose of this is to adapt western instruments to be able to play middle-eastern music
@kanoaika5 ай бұрын
This is very clearly tuned. Your claim that it is analogous to out of tune playing is tantamount to saying someone is missing a note when in fact they are simply playing a different song. Just because the pitches aren't what you expect them to be does not mean they are wrong. You can not appreciate the music, but it is very clear that this is intentionally and skillfully played music not a mistake. Regarding your claim about reinventing the guitar: your claim makes no sense. Reinventing the guitar would be if they were 1) trying to make a new instrument from scratch but 2) ended up with something that is fundamentally equivalent to a guitar. This has nothing to do with what actually happened. They started with a guitar and modified it in a substantial and particular way to enable playing a different kind of music. What they did is fundamentally contradictory with both of the two criteria that would need to be met for your statement to be true--to the extent that I think it could even be said that they are doing the complete opposite of 'reinventing the guitar'. They are *diverging* from the guitar in a *meaningful* way, whereas 'reinventing the guitar' implies *converging* *accidentally* on the guitar.
@kanoaika5 ай бұрын
@@romeolz No lol that is actually a pretty good analogy because it perfectly captures the two fundamental ways that their argument is wrong (it only falls short because music is more subjective than the functionality of wheels). Within the frame of this analogy they are intentionally changing the wheel in a significant/meaningful way--precisely the opposite of what is implied by the phrase 'reinvent the wheel' which implies accidental convergence with no meaningful difference from a preexisting thing.
