You should try out the xprealistic trial, really adds to the flying experience especially when landing :) If you do try it out remember to turn down every slider down to around 7 or so except "Yaw-taxi" under "Head anticipation". Default settings just makes the pilot look where you're turning not the most sim friendly :).

For the old IRS alignment on the INIT A page you have to use the up and down arrows to change the lat/long so it matches the GPS then press align IRS

ToLiss terrain mapping only loads when you fly over it then saves to your computer for future flights. However for water it only saves ones that have terrain in that square. If there is no terrain it wont save.

Hi Chris, I had one case where I saw something I'd classify as an unidentified object which even ATC didn't know what it was. However note I expecially use the term "unidentified" because nobody believed it didn't come from earth or so (what people usually connect with the term UFO), but it most likely simply was a military plane as we were flying close to (but outside of) a military training area.

Hi, I prefer Toliss these days due to the more accurate handling characteristics of the plane and more options (engines, wingtips/Sharklets, etc). Fenix looks better though. Things might change after V2 is fully released and once the Fenix 319/321 are out.

Where possible if you were told to maintain 160knots until 4DME could you leave the gear until 4DME to reduce drag or is that leaving it too late to be configured?

You slammed the APU bleed on immediately even before the APU had started? I have read some crew will start the APU and let it run for a few minutes regardless of temp before switching APU Bleed/packs on. This seems to be both for APU health and pack contamination from fumes

The APU control box will take care of it. There's no limitation on how long you have to run the APU before using bleed in the Airbusses. Maybe some operators imposed restrictions, but there's none from Airbus themselves.

Hi, it's the standard Airbus checklist. You can find it for example in the eQRH app (iOS only). The free demo version has them almost completely, expect for the after landing checklist.

Yes, it absolutely is. During my type rating I went through pretty much all of the failures with the Toliss as well and almost all worked exactly the same as in the fill flight sim. Fenix had a bit more issues, though it was also quite good by the way. Both are recommendable (just because I know someone will ask).

Normally you would leave them on during takeoff, however a Packs off takeoff can be done to provide more engine thrust during short takeoff ranges when TOGA power is needed or to safe fuel.

A plane hardly anybody cares about, that's why FS developers don't bother with it. Just look at the numbers of A318s on VATSIM, especially back in the day when Aerosoft released theirs. 318 and 319 on the pack, yet hardly any 318s flew. That gives you a bit of an indication what's going on.

I don't actually find them that bad. Sure, Improvement possible and there are two excellent soundsets available out there to do that, but the default are somewhat alright as well.
