Story and Director should be the main key assets of the movie, not actors or songs or so called old movie references. Well this content is 100% True but Still when i Recall as a Fan My theatre experience of Waltair Veerayya! Seeing Chiru like before was somewhat memorable! Considering some aspects it really feels like it is not much of a story but, We fans only wanted to see Chiru Charisma! we came out happily! Movie is still entertaining so common audience will also be entertained though it lacked some thoughtful script! but when considering Rupee Value! I dont feel my Money is lost, I dont have any regrets with Bobby either he did more than we expected! but I really wish if Heroes & Directors put an effort in Script and come out with better Watch-worth Concepts!

Mate, listen to any of the songs listed in the above so called commercial movies you mentioned. The amount of literature, variety of background locations, differentiality are absolutely noteworthy. I understand the frustrating point being lack of innovation and reality in their story telling but all of them succeeded in entertaining us. In Telugu even the cringe is meanginful and okay to bear. While Telugu movies in terms of box office potential has grown tremendously, I completely agree with your opinion on the overall quality of the movies especially with the senior actors. The directors seem to be coming up with the same rotta formulaic movies with the same old commercial formula or the actors themselves are unable to update themselves to the changing times. I think the fear of failure is making both the directors and actors take what they believe to be the safe path and this is where we need actors and directors to do some soul searching. In addition, I think Telugu movie industry definitely needs better scriptwriters and music directors.

This is exactly the problem with Telugu commercial cinema. The new age ‘commercial’ cinema directors are just trying to cash in on the popularity of the actors ante. They aren’t trying to create something new. Like for example, vv Vinayak, he CREATED the faction genre, those sumos explosions, big dramatic dialogues, all these tropes were created by him more or less. We can credit srinu vaitla for starting the confusion comedy trope in Telugu cinema, Trivikram mixed commercial cinema, philosophy and mythology. Rajamouli, well we all know. Ala these directors used to create a moment for an actor. Ippudu directors aa cinemalu chusi perigaru, they think that the audience still. Wants the same. Basically they are stuck in nostalgia and trying to ride the dying wave of popularity of these stars in their twilight. So chiru, ballaya ki new moments em undav, cinema anta aa paata moments ki recall la ne untai. Instead of good commercial cinema it has become celebration of the star. That’s why most commercial movies are shit. These directors need to realise that we want to see new stuff. Tamil and Malayalam does this very well. Kamal Hassan, Mammooty, Mohanlal and to some extent Nagarjuna and Venkatesh are reinventing themselves. They are using their years of experience and talent to create new characters and experiment. Ballaya, chiru and raviteja are still stuck in past. Ave rotta cinema, item songs dance and all. Pathetic. And ee Harish Shankar gang of directors are the main culprits.
