Hello this is Dimitri and Yvette we met on the way to the car rental from Athens airport we were on the same van we got our car rentals at the same time I had the white Peugeot. I am glad to hear you enjoyed your trip to Greece, nice video. We ended up visiting Nafplion, Tolo, and Napoli. We were there May 12th to the 20th, maybe we'll meet again happy travels, from Boston , Dimitri

Muito obrigada Facondo 😍🙏🏻 Ficamos felizes que você gostou do vídeo e desta cidade 😍 na verdade é considerada uma pequena vila da Grécia, praticamente só tem uma rua principal e a uma pequena praia, mais ou menos como algumas praias do litoral norte, e também não é geralmente não muito turística, é mais onde os Gregos passam as férias de verão de acordo com informações locais, o que achamos muito legal por ser um lugar bem tranquilo 🥰 ... grande abraço 🤗

Beautiful video! I am from Canada and considering staying in Tolo for the winter. Are the prices for food reasonable there and is a car necessary? Thank you! Very helpful information! ❤

Hello JennyBoyce, thanks for your comment and for sending us a message 😃🙃. Yes, prices for food are very reasonable in Tolo. You will find very affordable restaurant options and more upscale options also. In case you will be staying in an apartment, you can always do groceries at one of the two markets we mentioned. We felt there were slightly better options for groceries on the way to Nafplio, at which point a car would be recommended. Not sure if you plan to visit around Tolo, if yes then a car would come in handy. Our blog has more information, plus we're happy to chat more, feel free to email us @ [e-mail] Also stay tuned, because we are working on a series of vlogs for driving in Greece, plus the surrounding villages we visited. You need to understand that all of the tavernas (and I mean ALL) are closed in the winter, as are most of the shops. I live there in the winter, and like it - the beach is deserted and it’s lovely to swim after you brave the colder water. In Nafplio everything stays open, but it’s not convenient without a car.

This year, we had the opportunity to visit Greece for the first time and focused on exploring the Tolo area and the Peloponnese, including Nafplio and its surroundings. Greece USED to be a good value years ago. NOT anymore! Almost everything has become so expensive now!

Hello George, thank you so much for your comment and input. We have seen prices increase for travel in general. Before 2020 in Canada, we could travel around the country with really good deals for hotels, especially because we love the national parks around the Canadian Coast and Quebec. However, now it's so expensive! That said, we remain firm that Tolo offered great value. Our apartment in Tolo was amazing, and if we were traveling around Canada, the price would be almost triple for the same high-level apartment. Plus, Tolo is an amazing place with beautiful beaches, which we don’t have here, so we were amazed by Greece in general. It’s a gorgeous country! We wish you an amazing summer time!
