You are correct, the old neighborhood should be restored to look new, outside is just as important as inside. I have seen estates in Scotland thats 1000 years old and still looking good. Nigeria is such a beautiful place if they change the maintenance culture it would be the crown jewel of africa.

I lived off the Ikorodu road in the 1970s, early 1980s. It was called Maria Lodge and me and my sister went to Maryland convent and my brother went to Corona. I had friends in GRA and Mende Village. And my mother shopped at Leventis behind Maryland School. We eventually moved further up the road nearer the school (behind NEPA) and Mende Village - so it was an easy walk to school. 10 mins.thanks for the memories❤️🙏🏾

This looks like an Upper-Middle class estate to me. There are obviously nice houses in it, but the estate needs to work on the aesthetics of the externals/streets to be able to compete effectively for this upper-middle class market with the emerging estates in the Lekki Peninsula axis (i.e. Lekki Phase 2 and Ajah areas; no way it can compete with Lekki Phase 1).

Although most of these neighbourhoods particularly on the mainland are old so you get to see better developments in newer estates. Lagos basically developed on its own before it could be planned properly and now its bursting however efforts are being made to enhance it bit by bit.
