OMG. I can't believe you found it! Congrats! I've never been able to find a guitar I've sold. I'm glad you're enjoying it.

I've had a T-style Cobra for 20 years. I love it, as it works the best if I just go to a random jam. It is stable and can handle basically most situations. However, when I'm alone playing guitars at home, Cobra sounds a bit generic compared to other ones I own. I considered selling it a few weeks ago but then I went to an open jam and realised why it is still with me after all these years.

I know what you mean though. I moved my Drop Top from the H2+ in the bridge to the newer SF2 I would have got the HC2 if my pick guard was cut for a covered one. Anyway, it totally breathed new life in the guitar. You may want to think about making a change at that level. Either way I'm glad you're still enjoying it. Cheers

I'm glad you were able to get your Cobra after you got scammed - that is crazy. I'm celebrating my 24th year this fall with my Cobra T and 21 years of marriage. The Cobra is so good and covers so much ground that you don't need to bring other guitars to the gig.

Nice! Yeah we are soon to hit 20 and my drop top is in year 23. Great minds think, and maybe live, alike!

Andersons rock! I have two, got great deals on both at the Dallas Guitar Show many moons ago: a red droptop with quilted maple and a blue hollow T which I affectionately refer to as Bluebird, because it sings like one. 😊 Agree on the versatility, they are a smorgasbord of sound and hard to get a bad one out of them.

Nailed it! Congrats on your two Andys. ....you'll have to tell me your secret to get good deals at that show. Every time I go things are pricey. What am I doing wrong?

@@BenBreard Thanks! Well, this was a long time ago, in the early 2000s, and from what I recall Anderson guitars weren’t as well known back then as they are now. I got them maybe a year apart, and both times my buddy who introduced me to TA guitars told me if I didn’t buy it, he would! So basically just right place/right time luck; these are the only two guitars I ever bought at shows, but I recall getting both somewhere in the 30-40% off range. Score!

@markw9512 definitely a good buy! My #1 is a 2001 and she's still going strong. Congrats on your find.

@@BenBreard Thanks! The one in the vid sounds great, I’m assuming you’re plugged into that Bogner? Great amps those. 👍

@markw9512 yeah that's a 2001 XTC I picked up last year. It's all about the blue channel!! I play it almost every day. :)

This looks like a PRS, except not nearly as ugly. Good sounding guitar.

Lol. First time I've heard someone say PRSs are ugly. :) that's funny.

Anyone who believes PRS guitars are "ugly" doesn't have an opinion worth a shit.

I have a bunch of L Ps both Gibson and Epiphone, lately I’ve been favoring a partscaster I built several years ago. It’s just a super simple single humbucker bridge set up as non trem, single vol. no tone. But sounds so good. New sub btw…
@BenBreard3 ай бұрын
Oh man, I totally want to make a single PU guitar. I made a kit a while back and I swear it sounded better with just the bridge in it. ....but maybe it's in my head. Anyway I still think single PU guitars are cool. Thanks for the sub!

I'm gonna be honest. This guitar sounds like it's desperatelly trying to be something it isn't. I'm sure it plays like a dream and you love it, but it sounds kinda shallow, a bit characterless.

I guess I did say "fight me" and you are entitled to your opinion. :) ...but how do you know where the guitar stops and my rig starts? Maybe my hands sound bad to you. lol I wish you could play this guitar to form an opinion instead of this video. Cheers!

Yet another video where someone makes what is undoubtedly an expensive instrument sound like shit...And proudly makes their incompetence public.
@BenBreard2 ай бұрын
I never knew I was incompetent until now. What would you change to make the rig sound better & same for my playing. Since you're clearly next-leve, you can help mel!!
