I love the easy listening rich effects used in this one. I hear reverb and some other beautiful tones. The pink looks really cool, real men play pink guitars. There was a tennis player in the 70s named John Newcome who wore pink shirts, and he was pretty tough and macho, so the term was coined "real men wear pink". The pink and white contrast each other really nicely. I love your use of the tremolo bar when playing lead. Many artists only finish off a note with the trem but you use it all the way through a chord progression. Love it.

Jon, your playing is superb, and the sound in your setup up is 'to die for'. It is such a lovely clean tone. I wish I could replicate it without expensive gear. All I have is my Fender Strat and a Boss Katana 100 MK2. Keep up the great videos.

Holy moly Jon!! That’s probably the best sounding HSS Strat I’ve ever heard. It sounded just amazing in the intro and brought out the very best in you. Which is saying a lot. 😀 I know you’re full up to the gills with gear but I imagine it must be tempting 😂😂😂. Wonderful playing Jon, one of your best - bravo !! ❤️❤️👍👍😃😃

These are nice but again im a sucker for anything shell pink! The one thing i dont understand is the 2 bolt neck joint, i have never seen this before but apparently it does not hinder sustain, this guitar seems to actually have very good sustain.

I don't know if Tom still does this, but there was talk that his split-coil pickups had an extra capacitor so that when the coil is split the impedance changes to 250K to match the other single-coils, and that accounts for the lesser drop in volume.
@JonIsJustTooLoud Жыл бұрын
That would explain everything!! Thanks Mike✌️❤️

Great guitar and with all the right spec, but not in Pale Pink or with a green pickguard! For a custom spec guitar the prices are very reasonable, far less than Fenders Custom shop and it will be made to a higher standard. With some tweaks to the spec i might be tempted as my local luthier has now retired as i should be! Thanks for another great video Jon.🙂💞👍

Jon, are you using your pedals all through a Tone Master Twin and DI (XLR) to your interface for the video audio? I ask because I waiting on the UA Enigmatic 82 Overdrive Special and I'm hoping that the Tone Master (I have) works well with pedals since it's soooo... clean. I don't play out anywhere now but I'm digging playing with friends using Logic Pro X.
@JonIsJustTooLoud4 ай бұрын
Yes David.. except for the last part of he song when I use the Line 6 Helix Native. Don’t worry.. the tone master deluxe reverb is a great amp for pedals and I’m sure the twin reverb version will work just as well.

Seeing Jon play all these great songs over and over again with not perfect had technique makes me wonder. Why the hell did all my university guitar teacher always complain about not having proper hand technique. Seriously this is a prime example of being able to do great things with out “correct” technique. Seriously university professors don’t know jack about the real world.
@JonIsJustTooLoud Жыл бұрын
nah...proper technique is important. It would have made my playing easier and more far reaching
@oldcrackadated Жыл бұрын
Perfect hand technique is a myth of teachers who couldn’t make it professionally Jon has perfect use of his hands by using them his way
@alberto3028 Жыл бұрын
He's got a brilliant technique; the sound he achieves is how it should be. Not using the pinky doesn't mean it's not good technique; it's his way, and it works for him, perhaps even better than your super technique-maybe with more feeling and attack.
@avalles3 Жыл бұрын
@@JonIsJustTooLoud you really think so? I’m not sure this guy was a classical guitar teacher so I think he had that to add to his ego. He swore that having your hand parallel to the finger board at all times would heighten your tone 10 fold. He was good at reading music but could never play something like the music you write. He was just soooo stiff all the time unwilling to bed the rules. A straight up purist. I have seen pro musicians who would have what he considers horrible technique but man can they play, the feel they have, all that emotion too not the same. One guy would remove his entire had from the back to do a string bend not sure why but it worked for him.
@avalles3 Жыл бұрын
@@ChristopherBuenviaje ok I’ll give you that when it comes to maybe speed and maybe a crazy stretch, but that teacher swore that if you grew your finger nails to approximately an inch long to finger pick your got the best tone. I went to a romeros concert ones personally shook Pepe’s romeros hand and noticed his nails were not that long just highly polish and taken care of. That’s as perfect you will get to perfect guitar technique as you will get. Pepe’s tone and sound was huge!!! That was what made me think twice about what the university teacher was preaching.
