I was that nervous beforehand, after celebrating like a loon, I nearly burst into tears. Never been happier to see a fighter win!! The footwork and angles looked too much for Sergei and he was clearly wary of pulling the trigger. If/when they fight again, that's not gonna get any better now he knows Tom can knock him out. It's hard to see how anyone deals with a fully fit, full training camp Aspinall.

Fckn hell, well done Tom. Great job during fight week & the pod as always lads. However, Jiri has said he was out in other fights he won but had been hurt then recovered. Perhaps he thinks 'being out' means the same as 'being out of it' as in hurt & dazed, English is an additional language. His acceptance doesn't necessarily mean it wasn't a bad early stoppage bc he's just that guy who was never going to protest, he's all about honour, respect, etc. Goddard give the fighters a chance mate, like Slavaclaus in a 10-8 R2 then winning R3 & Dern only stopped after 4 knockdowns. Hell, HW Tom even got the chance to land super necessary hammer fists on the ground.

Great win for Tom I was abit dumbfounded thinking that Tom will probably defend an intern title with Jones vying for the Stipe fight. In reality I think this situation could be unique as I could easily see the Jones vs Stipe fight as a retirement for both men which means in turn Tom has a chance of starting his own reign now. Albeit it’s hypothetical but I just don’t see Jones doing more after Stipe while Stipe looked every bit of his age walking in Saturday night.
