After working with many high profile people... what the media says and what is actually going on is rarely portrayed accurately. The true travesty are the children... how tragic that they are rarely mentioned or considered. The people who"have it all" did not have it all... together. No envy here... my low profile life suits me just fine and then some.

The children are rarely considered when their parents divorce. Be real. The pain and suffering it’s so great that it becomes all about self preservation. Consideration for the children becomes secondary. A spouse, on either side, can break the other down so far that there can be no other consideration but permanent separation.

@Lily-have
@Lily-have Жыл бұрын
Marriage takes effort from both involved not only from the woman's side. Agreeing with a man who wishes to follow his dream for as long as he wants to while the woman is raising his kids like a single mother is that what you call sacrifice? What if it was Gisele who was putting her career first and family second then all of those women would have been mom-shaming her for not prioritizing her family. Some are accusing her of cheating but what if it was tom who had cheated on her? Society would have blamed her for his action since she wasn't spending enough time with him and made him feel lonely. As they say “a man has his needs” Women are always to blame. The sacrifices most women talk about they are the ones making the majority of them. Not every woman wants to play single mother while their men are too busy chasing their dream. Just like being a husband and father isn't enough to fulfill a man it is the same for women. She put her career on a hiatus for 10 years just to be there for him now it's time for her to also fulfill her desires without being mom-shame. A couple needs to give each other the chance to fulfill themselves outside of their marriage and children. It is give and take

Why should he retire if he's not done yet? What other profession does a man retire at 45?
@Lily-have
@Lily-have Жыл бұрын
@@bendover3653 the average men want to become successful so they can “spend more time with the family” while a man who is 45 years years old with WAYYY more money than the average men refuses to retire so he can do his husbandly and fatherly duty like the rest of his kind. While his wife for the sake of being there for him and his children took a 10 years hiatus from a career that solemnly focus on her beauty which fades with age. Why should you ask? Well so he can be more present and active in the life of his wife and children . So he can now support his wife’s dream so as she been supporting his. Marriage is a 100 percent support they say , well , now it’s time for him to show his support.

I love Margaritas but when I drink a few may get a little mouthy thus my wife does not like it much when I drink them. She said I don’t care what you drink, which is not much or often, but I don’t like it when you drink Margaritas. We been married almost 18 years and I love Margaritas but I love my wife way more so when she said that I promised her I would never drink another one and I have not and will not. She did not ask me to make that promise but my relationship with her and love for her means far more to me. Now that is a small thing and I could have said to her deal with it but then that would make me a prick and extremely selfish. Couples must compromise in a relationship and find out what is most important. I can’t imagine life without her and would be devastated but life without Margaritas is just great and I don’t miss them. Another great show. By the way Megyn I watched you on Fox News and loved your show but that was mostly political I so much love you more on this platform.

He’s 45 years old, he should’ve properly retired while he was on top. He’s not as good as he was and he’s holding on to an unrealistic goal. Imagine if Giselle was doing modeling shows following her dream-like Tom she would probably not have been able to attend the majority of his games. When that happens society would have called her the “unsupportive wife” who places her career before her family and not being there to support her husband. Yet when she asks Tom to put his career on a hiatus to be there for her society still calls her the “unsupportive wife” who wants her husband to give up his career so she can follow hers. In all women are still the ones required to make the sacrifices needed to make the marriage work. They can't give men an ultimatum because as the lady said “ in marriage, you can't keep track of the sacrifices you make” Women are expected to sacrifice out of love and are not required to hold them against their husbands. All the while they are supposed to be always grateful for their husband doing the bare minimum. Although women have been fighting for equal pay a lot of them still consider working to be a choice and for that reason society always supports men who complain about their wives putting their careers first and family second while the same society supports men who place more importance on their career than their family and guilt shame women who require their husband to do otherwise.

It is sad but its the reality and the truth and knowing the truth as a men will set you free. Most women monkey branch in relationships. Before she decides to leave, she already intertaining someone new. The problem was that tom brady married a women of status, who makes more than him. Its a learning lesson though.

We don't even know what they promised each other when getting married. Did he promised to slow down working at some point.... did he swear he would love to be involved with his kids activities at some point, did he promise to slow down so she could have more time to focus on her work at one point... Who knows And bviously if you don't do anything for the marriage you don't need to keep scores. So should the person who get screwed just shut up until she gets a breakdown or cheat or should that person speak up and see if the partner is willing or not to finally also make an effort. At least she spoke, she tried they still did not agree so then she said she is done and moved on. At least she was honest, better than playing mind games or living a double life for years which many men prefer doing and which is the worst for kids.

Had a friend who got married. My husband knew them a little, just socially. As we left the wedding, he said, they'll be divorced in a year. He was right...asked how he could make this assessment...he simply stated that "he could tell". The husband moved out while she was at work. She just could not let go. She actually began semi stalking him. Cane to his place of work, to his apt and to his families home. I begged her to get counseling and let the poor guy alone. The next thing I knew...he committed suicide. So very sorry for them both. They should have never been married.

“I could tell” is a terrible, terrible assessment from an alleged doctor. That’s just gut feeling. A doctor is meant to be rational and logical, even with emotions. Assessments come from tangible elements that can be expressed. Your example is also daft I’m afraid. I’ll explain why. Say 24 people at that wedding, half of them think the marriage will last, half don’t. Of the half that don’t they guess the month the marriage will end…each with a different month. One of them would be right and 23 will be wrong. The one that was right thinks they are some genius predicting it, they are not.. they are oblivious to the number of false assessments which is a concept about “ignoring negative data”.

Tom was always Tom - if he hadn't been a successful football player she probably wouldn't have married him. Football is something he has always been passionate about, even before he met her. Why would you ask someone you love to give up their passion (it's not alcohol, it's not drugs, yes there's risks but lots of rewards from keeping fit and healthy). I think when people do give in to our demands we lose respect for them. Your mindset is all wrong. No wonder why no one can stay married. Giselle has more money than tom and was more famous than him. Why do you think their divorce went so smoothly? It is because she doesn't need toms money. Also, keep in mind that she had been with him for 10 years not 10 days but years. It is hard to do that if you are not interested in someone. Marriage is not about a career it is about commitment to each other. Women are guilt shame into not prioritizing their careers for the sake of family and women are also considered the devil for requiring the same thing from their men. 10 years is a long time to be chasing your dreams and placing your family second. If you want to chase your dreams for as long as you want then stay single because some women want a present and active husband and father instead of a famous football player

As my Mom says...she got the "40itis"...I always suspected it was NOT about him playing football. That was just the excuse, the typical move for many divorcing woman...blame it on the guy.

I think so too. Had he left football, she probably would divorce him in a year or two anyway. Just my gut.

@@haley2542 I highly suspect it was her that "leaked" his retirement news backing him into a corner.

Exactly. She's hot for the karate instructor, the pool boy, her kids' teachers, and the guy two doors down. It's Tom's fault.

Sonny and Cher, yes! I was a fan of those two. So fun and sweet. I was disappointed when she left him. I felt sorry for him. I saw their last interview before the divorce and it looked to me their relationship was done.

The comment about the snapshot is so true. It may not be real and if not the people who are playing the facade know the truth and its depressing. The other problem is for the people who see the photo and are fooled and compare their reality with that family's snapshot--again depression.

I think Gisele will be so sorry she ended her marriage. As for Tom- who knows what went on???? I wish them. It’s well,. Tom, don’t allow this to affect your career . We Canadians love you.

He already ended his marriage because of his career. She put her life on hold for him. Yes, she filed and he made the choice to go forward. All the broken records and super bowls he’s won and that’s not enough. This is just IMO. I wish it didn’t end this way.

Giselle is a very sound woman. Just hearing the way she talks you can tell she is the type who lays everything on the table. She is the type who probably gave tom an ultimatum before they even got married so tom knew what the deal was.
