Man, just think how much of a boss Tom would have been if he had retired after the Tampa Bay SB win. Going out on top like that, literally nothing left to prove, it was as perfect as a time to retire, for any athlete in history. For as good as he was in New England, there were many that attributed the success to Belichick. But the Bucs win put that to rest. His ego really killed his perfect ending. Then last year, it would have been still a good retirement time, but no. Still the goat, but a messy ending.

And despite all that, if the refs called the hold on the conversion and Mike Evans didn’t drop a touchdown bomb, Brady would’ve STILL had them down just 1 score with 2 minutes and 3 timeouts left. In no way is he finished. He had the same production as Justin Herbert this season in one of the worst offensive situations of any QB.

Well, to be fair you can't blame folks for throwing the "but he's the goat" in Brady's face and his fans faces, they're the ones who literally started the "Brady is the GOAT, he elevates everyone around him" horseshit. Brady nuthuggers blissfully forget he and Bill got busted for cheating in one SB year and got penalized/fined for it. Brady spent the bulk of his prime years surrounded by top tier offense and/or top tier defense, usually both. This is the only time we've seen him truly tested without star supporting casts and top tier head coach, and he's failing miserably.

Say what you want but Brady is still #3 overall passing yards for the season and may still have a playoff spot. Might not be a great year from his past but still competing at a high level
