Tom Browne FUNK BASS Vox Standard Slap Jazz Funk

Only bass you hear is my playing, I isolated the instruments using Moises, hence why the top end isn't as clear as I'd like as it reduces the quality slightly... Some notes may sound odd but I was trying to emulate some of the original bass line

Had this song in my head, and as its late at night a smooth funky jam seemed a fun thing to do!

Old Tom Browne tunes are just sublime, miss the old days when you could turn on the radio and hear stuff like this back in the 80’s, JFM and Invicta Radio days. Very nice 👍

@@JBass42 JFM and Invicta were london pirate radio stations maybe late 70’s early 80’s, think JFM stood for jazz funk music. If they weren’t on air you knew the GPO had nabbed their transmitter:) there are still some clips on you tube of old broadcasts. Happy days.

@@richmondpp proper times and proper music, unfortunately I was a bit too young to be getting to hear them! I remember when Bill Oddie had a show on jazz FM and he played some good stuff! I could t get any decent radio now I'm in Lincs until digital radio came along!

My Dad knew the Invicta crew. Used to run his own PR Infinity 1981-1984 I was born in the wrong generation 😂😎

Nice, Funkin for Jamaica next?..I saw him live in London. He is one serious dude...... when it comes to bass ..I'm telling you it's gotta be just right ! (The brass on this is crazy good)
