The music is played live, the trumpet player is Tom Browne, he is the original artist who wrote "JAMAICA FUNK, " Marcus Miller played the bass on the original track. But you are right, the original was special because all the other artist who were involved in making the original track!!! Also, studio recording, and live performance are going to sound night and day different, even from original artist because they are being performed in two different environments, but in-comparison, this is pretty good, and close to the original sound for a live performance... Good catch, enjoy!!!
