I haven’t played in a long time so I’m curious, what is the reason for destroying an uplink? It seems you can still capture it but I’m guessing you won’t be able to use anything else it provides when you destroy it?

The reason for destroying an uplink is to remove the ability for the uplink to be upgraded which provides off-map support.
