Toronto, like other large cities in Canada, is likely already in the early stages of "15 minute city" planning. Once they spring that on Toronto, the traffic issue will be taken care of. The recently elect new mayor will definitely speed up that transition.

I bike and drive. I take a bike whenever logistically possible. That said, CUT THE BIKE LANES and DITCH THE STUPID STREET CARS! St. Clair is often one lane bc the street cars have their own special (expensive to maintain) lane which also makes every traffic light have three stages as opposed to two.

Well leaving Toronto to then commute in for work really wasn't much of a choice for many given how expensive housing is in Toronto. Decades of mismanagement and poor policy choices have had a compounding effect. Gonna be tough to fix without tearing everything down and starting again.
