Seeing how young his dad looks is just painful but at least they had the time they did have together and Tom can pass on that love of a dad to their child to his own child. I remember seeing Tom around this time training at Plymouth. Poor sod smacked the top of his feet on the edge of the platform as he came of. He came up in tears, the trainer ordered him out of the pool and while he sobbed went through what he had done wrong, before sending him up again. I was deeply impressed by the young mans bravery but if I’m honest I found the cold emotional disconnection of his coach disconcerting. But I think this is modern sport, winning is all.

Its so sad to think that the next after this in 2011 Tom's dad died, he lost his battle to cancer, I could never be able to imagine how awful that must have been to lose your dad and #1 supporter Im sure he is looking down on Tom now in 2017 and thinking how lucky he was and still is to have such an amazing son Tom your amazing keep up with your diving 😊
