hearing that bastardized new "blink" song made me go on a tirade through youtube listening to classic tom and it lead me to all this new solo/angels and airwaves stuff I never heard because I kind of lost touch with his music and im totally just falling back in love with it....this stuff as well as the new angels and airwaves probably was intended for a new blink album before they decided his style of writing wasn't as good as the used up pop punk riffs they are throwing around now
@tonynurrahman34678 жыл бұрын
exactly. well in my opinion 50% of blink's sound was of tom, and everyone be saying like matt sings way better and all but honestly the imperfections in tom's live performance and that douchey accent are the things i use to hear, things i grew up to. i still like the new blink but tom alone can make a record just as good as - if not better than - the other 3 altogether. sorry for bad english lol

This is the best I've heard tom in studio... His departure from Blink-182 is a mute point after listening to his vocals on this solo album. As a producer, vocal coach and country rock artist I can damn well assure anyone that there is only so much an engineer and producer can produce a vocalist without the redundancy of pitch correcting every single word or tone imperfection. There has to be a natural occurrence of tone and execution that intervenes and Tom did it in this album.

This is a fantastic record, Tom DeLonge is such an inspiration, he has ambition, he cared about Blink, Mark and Travis are just way too impatient, they could've done some +44, but they let it collect dust and continue a band without a essential member, I have no hate on Matt Skiba but he isn't fit for Blink, if it turns into a legal issue, Tom will easily win it, I love Mark & Travis, but they made a stupid decision to kick Tom, they should just break the band up, Mark also has Nothing & Nobody, but have we seen a record? No. Thank you Tom for following your ambition!

How can you listen to this song and still think Tom doesn't care about blink? It is almost the perfect sequel to Rite of Spring; this song came out of the second split in blink, while Rite of Spring followed the first hiatus+WDNTW. They both utilize similarly sounding melodic elements and very bittersweet lyricism. Fucking spectacular 🤘💖

The hate towards both, Delonge and Skiba is starting to severely annoy me. For me Tom has always been an amazing member of blink-182. He's creativity is mind blowing which can be seen in every song he's written or participated writing. It's not only the music this man has created, the Love film and books he's written pretty much explain this with the music. Blink changed my life, so did AVA and Boxcar Racer. I really love especially the two Love albums of AVA. He's very passionate about music. I still can see that he isn't as good of a performer on the stage as he is in the studio. It's normal for me to not enjoy many of his live performances. He improvises and sometimes nails killer improvisations though. Tom was/is busy, maybe he wasn't interested in blink anymore. He left, it's his decision and I think that it's not very respectful towards his other work to cry for his return in blink. He's gonna continue the way he wants to. At least I'm okay with that! Now Matt Skiba. I also like him. His work with Alkaline Trio is beautiful and he really seems to be a perfect replacement for Tom in blink. He sings on key live and doesn't improvise too much. I like that. He's guitar tone sounds good to me and he isn't a bad player, either. Now he doesn't nail all the riffs, but hey he hasn't written even half of the songs they usually perform. I think he's trying his best and does a good work. If you don't like him in blink, it's fine. It takes time. Tom was in the band since it's start, so of course seeing and hearing Skiba with blink can sound bizarre. I find it retarded to keep repeating "Skiba sucks". Show some respect, please! Oh but then again this is internet. Can be a bit hard. That's pretty much my thoughts. :D

great album like always,tom is a phenomenal musician.every time he delivers with unique and catchy songs...dont really see blink 182 doing much without him, and its all about AVA.tom probably knows how to remote view and quantum jump,,translation,,,he has tapped into the universes unspoken knowledge,where you can learn and gain information thru meditation
