The motorcade was out of order in Dallas. Usually the press photographers are in front of or beside the Presidential Limo (see photo of the "flatbed truck in montage above). But that day the President was moved at the last minute to the front of the parade separating them by 100 yards which annoyed White House photographer Tom Dillard who arrived at the scene too late to take any pictures of the shooting. No professional movie footage exists of the assassination because of the Secret Service's last minute maneuver. The only professional photograph of it was taken by James Altgens who ran down there at the last minute and snapped his now famous photo mid assassination.
