With all due love to Tom Felton, I don't think he dislikes it. You know, when a side actor goes very popular after a show or movie series but their career just kind of stops, that movie or show is the only way to their relevancy. He's an actor, without HP, he'd fade away. Most of the supporting actors didn't took off. Some even smaller like Domhal Gleeson did though. It'd be annoying for Daniel Radcliffe because he's trying to get off his image or Emma Watson because they've actually built a career. Not the rest, it's a brutal industry and they need to hold onto this.

I think its just that they were always like their characters to some extent and then growing up learning about those characters has allowed them to change their perspectives etc and probably be a bit like the characters in that way too, I dunno lol

I'm so happy he's still ok with talking about Harry Potter Edit because many people are asking why he wouldn't be ok with it: many actors involved in successful franchises hate to be known for their roles because it follows them whenever they try to find new work. Its almost like a curse to them. For example, Taylor Lautner (Jacob from Twilight) has just about quit acting because he can't find any work. Nobody will hire him because everyone sees him as "the wolf boy from Twilight" or even fans have trouble seeing him in a different role. Their character becomes their "hollywood identity". Thats why many actors don't like talking about their past roles, and im happy that Tom is still fine with talking about it considering Emma Watson never likes talking about "Hermione" anymore.
