I’ve had samples of the edp for years around the house and sprayed it here and there but never really got the hype. I decided to wear it to bed one night (which is the best way I’ve found to test fragrances.) I was blown away and bought a bottle the next day. I finally get the hype. I need to smell the edt.

I am a man and I do the same thing ..I wear a fragrance to bed and I enjoy the notes like a song if I still smell it on me the next morning its a keeper ...!!!!

I do the same thing with my fragrances! Nothing beats a shower before bed and a spritz of cologne to envelope me in olfactory bliss! As a guy, it’s my guilty pleasure! Black Orchid smells so intoxicating that I had to get a bottle of the edp. Aside from YSL Tuxedo, Black Orchid is one of my all time favorite fragrances! If I ever smell this on a woman, I just might trail her just to catch wafts of this beautiful fragrance. 😂

I bought it in 2006 when it first came out, I had just gotten my first bonus from my first job and I ran over to Saks Fifth Ave and bought the EDP.I still have the empty bottle in my drawer. I loved it so much, but I remember my Mother thought it smelled like cough syrup.

I went into Sephora looking to buy another fragrance but it was out of stock. I saw Black Orchid EDP and remembered that I had wanted to smell it based on reviews. OMG. I immediately and LITERALLY gasped at how much I loved it right off the bat. I bought the travel size right there to try it and test it and I can confidentially say that it has got to be one of my favorite fragrances of all time. Wow. It really is a must smell.

I just bought the EdT after watching your review because I’m into strong/bold/exotic scents but I was feeling that most of my bottles are too intense for an everyday signature scent. Tried both Black Orchid in store and loved both, but with that in mind, for a signature scent, I guess the EdT was the right choice. Thanks a lot for the review! Love your charisma

It’s linked to a good moment for me. I will forever love it. I bought it back in 15/12/2010 I was in my way to the US to start my journey to study in Boston. In the plane I saw they are selling it so I got it. Now when I smell it I just remember the old good days. I was young and I was going to a lane I never knew.

I just got a sample of the edp. I had to wash it off immediately. Is it just my nose? It smells like something an old grandpa would wear. I don't understand.

This one I was like... ewwww too much patchouli then I was like I NEED that patchouli! It is a straight up addictive fragrance. I have the edt and a sample of the edp. It’s in the same category as Noir de Noir for me. Such a stunner!!!

I use the EDP for special occasions just to add more power to my confidence! God I love the drydown and yes men can rock it nicely!

The drydown is lovely (layering it with Montale Chocolate Greedy makes my eyes roll in my head), but something is high pitched/headachy for a while before the perfume starts rounding out. I wonder if it's the vetiver. Thanks for the review!

I love 🖤 Black Orchid. It is so unique. I got a 30 day supply from Royalty Scents. They have the older formula EDP before it was watered down and reformulated. The one I have lasts.

I 🖤Black Orchid. I have a 30 day supply from Royalty Scents. They have the original version that lasts. It has now been reformulated and has very little longevity. I have never tried the EDT.

Do you still have the box for the edp? I'd be curious to know the batch codes on the bottom The bottle has one batch code but the box has 2 on the bottom flap (one is an alphanumeric 3 digit code and the other is a 5 digit numeric code. They're separated by a slash. I bought a 50 ml from Costco and it's a 2017 bottle. I'm wondering if the nearly 3 year old date of the bottle took its toll on the performance. *What kind of performance are you getting from edp in terms of projection hours?*

If I had the money I’d buy everything Tom Ford has made. For me Tom Ford creates magic. I wear Noir Extreme and Black Orchid. I keep three back ups of Noir Extreme. I’m so afraid it’ll be discontinued.

Have you ever reviewed the Mon Guerlain perfumes? I'm really interested in Sensualle...but it would end up being a blind but because Ive never smelled it...just basing on reviews... Black Orchid doesn't react with my chemistry...I've tried it. :-(
