I had the hardest time deciding between the two. I bought the original, but before I left the mall, I went back into the store and compared then again. I walked outside with the fragrance cards, and I traded my purchase (+$20) for the Parfum. The original smelled better in the store. The Parfum smells better outside. I'm totally happy with my purchase.

I chose black orchid today. It melted on my skin and smells like heaven. My wife loved it and could not stop smelling me when I got home. I’m 33 and thought it was going to smell too mature for me but it was perfect

Autumn falls in ... i took my darker parfums 2 day and yes my beauty Black Orchid parfum was smiling at me... Sprayed it on and ohh dear, i'm gonna mis the summer, but i love my parfums for this period in time so so much! I have the eau de parfum and the parfum, i love them both! But, if i had 2 choose... I started off owning the original black bottle and fell in love. As you described its richer and deeper which i love. I just bought the gold bottle and found it to be lighter, and must say I prefer the original bottle. But its nice having both as I can decide when to be a bit louder and in your face with the scent.

I've tried them both. Hands done the Black Orchid Parfum is a man's fragrance and the the original Black Orchid EDP compliments women. The original is intoxicating and sensual, very unlike the new version.

Well done guys :) I just picked up the gift sets for both Black Orchid edp and Noir Extreme edp. Both came with a 50ml bottle and an additional 10ml smaller bottle, to take with you or keep in a drawer at the office. Both smells amazing ^^. They were almost 50% off during Black Friday.

Thank you Sandra for this contribution. I loved it. I do own Black orchid EDP and my god, this fragrance is soooo complex and dark and yummie. Very good for our colder winterdays going out. I ordered the parfum last weekend and hope to recieve it today...;-) I cannot tell you what to think about yet but love to do so after receiving. Kind regards from the Netherlands.

Hmmm... the parfum version is not anywhere close to original B.O. imo. Parfum version has much less notes. It is dry and earthy. After 2 hours it becomes even more earthy and smoky. Besides it does not develop much. Basic DNA of B.O. is here but the pure magic is simply missing. Boozy, sexy, almost sweet narcotic allure of B.O. is gone. If that B.O. magic is what you love then stick with the EdP version. Longevity is also shorter with the parfum even though the opening is very strong.

I bought the original in a travel size for an upcoming international adventure to a cold weather locale. I wanted something distinctive. I’m not impressed so far. Two sprays on the wrist and I can barely smell it.
