I have a decant of the Private version and it's one of my favorite. I also really like the newest release in the gold bottle. I just ordered 100ml of it. I am a surfer for 25+ years, so this scent reminds me of what I smell when I come out of the ocean. Refreshing, masculine and invigorating.

Im gonna just say it. I appreciate Justin for not selling out by making every other video about "Clones" and "Dupes" because the views may be higher. I have been introduced to great, original scents through this channel. Some I love, some I dont, but thats why I sample, and thats the beauty in trying something thats actually new. Brother Justin is informing us and introducing us to different things, doing the "Fragrance lord's" work lol.

The new fragrance has some insane performance. I really love it. When i first sampled it, it lasted a week on my jacket. Moving on from performance the scent itself is insanely beautiful. It's not as dark as the original. As Justin said, it's lighter but those aquatic notes will stick out a lot and the oud will form the small bit if bitterness. I just had a trip to Sri Lanka and oud minerale killed it in the heat and humidity.

Bought this in January because I loved it when I tested it. When I first wore it I wasn't getting the same performance as when I tried it, most likely because it was a brand new bottle. After letting it sit for a couple more months the performance gotten better and this really stays on my clothes for weeks. Whenever I open my closet I still get whiffs of it coming from the jacket I wore. I agree with the dude who said it had ADG vibes. I love ADG but Oud Minerale definitely brings deeper and more sophisticated scent.

Smelled it in Sephora and I loved it. Also tried Costa azzura and liked that a tad more. Bought Costa azzura but plan to buy oud minerale too

To me they're nearly identical and whatever difference might be the maturation of my private blend bottle. Someone on Fragrantica was pointing out the fact that both versions have the same formula code on the box so they would be the exact same, just repackaged. At least, when my private blend bottle runs out, I can safely get this one and keep this amazing albeit divisive fragrance around! 👍

Interesting comparison, a few days ago and before viewing this video I was by the Harvey Nichols store and went in just to smell the new Oud Mineral. Not familiar with the OG, but I really liked this version. The blotter has been in my phone cover for more than 1 week and the base notes are still there. I really like the Ambery mysterious notes, though overall I do think it is a bit of a tame (yet very classy) scent. Have to give it a full wearing. My tops from the brand remain Tuscan Leather, Bois Marocain, Ebene Fume, Fougere D'Argent and Costa Azura. My least favorite (a very confusing scent) is F*** Fabulous.

I have some samples and liked it! My take on it was, a better version of ADG Profondo. The marines vibes are similar, but the TF is deeper, smoother and better quality.

I used to test the old formulation a lot and was anticipating buying, then they pulled it off. No they released the new one and I got it. My impression is the new one is quite significantly weaker, and a little bit sweeter, it's ok just less potent. I read somewhere on the forum that the old formulation had some EU forbidden ingredient so they reformulated. I did have a neck rash after the NEW one - not sure why, didn't have it ever before in my life. Spraying it on clothes ever since. Anyone else experienced it?

Honestly I wouldn't call Oud Minerale (Signature) non-present, on my skin, I sprayed once, my wife said that she could still smell it in the room after hours. Idk I couldn't detect it that much tbh, but definitely fills the room. I'd get whiffs of it now and then after 8hrs, so I really enjoy it. Definitely going to pull the trigger on it.

I never had a chance to smell the private blend version, but I have the signature version. I was impressed, but 1 hour in, I was getting wafts of Issey miyake pour homme. idk, maybe my nose is not mature enough.

Ive heard the only reason they aren't talked about more is price but considering the new Tom Ford private blends are in the same price range these day im wondering why no one ever mentions them?

Justin, even you have the reformulated Oud Minerale from the resort collection. The og from the private blend is very dark,very smokey very salty and i can put my money on it that there is real ambergris used. In the new version, the signature..there switched up ambergris to ambroxan and they also removed the smokeyness and some woody notes. The new version is absolutely garbage compared to the private blend. Private blend would get me 14-18 hours of performance and will linger on clothes even after a wash. it was beast mode. New version is gone in about 6hours. I would urge people to hunt down the private blend and forget about the signature version.

Ombre leather and the new mineral oud is diluted fragrance they don't last for 10 seconds on your skin or your clothes. Just another greedy move from tom ford to sell their products in similar price for the old ones or cheaper by 7 or 10 dollars. Not worth it at all . I bought them both and they were waste of money. The mineral oud the old version was better million times than this the new one .

I can say that the new one is not identical to the old, but it certainly doesn’t “last for 10 seconds”! You might be going nose blind. That or the new batch might need time to mature.
