I sold mine. I tried to make myself like it, but Jeremy kept kicking in. He said it smells like "old grandma" 😅😂 I did indeed liked how it smelled on me about 10 hours later. Initially, it was just to strong, dark, and a bit warm. It smelled like extract.

I received my bottle of Vanilla Sex on Friday. It is indeed good but not great. In my opinion, it’s the vanilla version of Lost Cherry and the dry down is more of a cakey Lira without the lemon cake/merengue vibe. It has a muskiness to it that makes the fragrance lean unisex. It is delicious to say the least. Can’t justify the price point tho. Solid release from Tom Ford 💯 I’m looking forward to the relaunch of Oud Minerale !

I went to Tom Ford a few days ago as they had a tester for Vanilla Sex. It will be released 12/21 at Tom Ford and Sephora. I love vanilla and was super excited. On paper, I could smell creamy vanilla (sandalwood). On my skin, it was not creamy and much more sweet vanilla. I thought it was a nice vanilla but very underwhelming. Not a fit at all for the name. I will try again in the future but a pass for me as so many other new vanillas fragrances this year. I also tried the new signature line Oud Mineral. It smelled nice on paper but I have no reason to purchase. I asked the manager about Vanille Fatale. He said it was very minimal changes from original so you should revisit for sure. No release date was given. I did try Myrhh Mystere and thought it was amazing and really liked it. Not happy about the price $390 for 50 ml but it was really good and last forever. I need a big sale to buy it. My rep showed me that layering Lost Cherry and Myrhh Mystere was also an amazing trick and smells fabulous. That layering may make it more exciting for you. I'm not into layering at all except for what my TF rep tells me.

I just had found and was about to purchase vanille fatal for the holidays when they took it off shelves to reformulate :( so sad, ive been searching for a good vanilla for years and years and loved it so much. I was told they were changing to a synthetic vanilla and possible other notes, i most likely wont like the new version but i’ll go smell to see

I have the version from Ulta, it is not an EDT, it is an Eau De Parfum and as far as I can tell it was exactly the same. I've gone through 25ml of it so far. I went back to grab a back up bottle a few months ago only to be dissapointed that it was no longer for sale.

I don't feel as "meh" about this release as many of the more recent ones from Tom Ford. Haven't gotten my nose on it yet but it sounds pleasant enough to be successful. The name is a little silly but for the price point its at I don't feel like its a want or need for my collection unless I fall head over heels for it. Ultravanil is not musk like. It's very very overwhelming vanil smell and slightly smokey. Think musks are more like clean washing or animal like. Ultravanil is very unpalatable when neat.
