Tobacco vanille is my favorite by far. Soleil blanc and eau de soleil blanc are also good. Moss Breches and Bois rouge were great but not available anymore.

So many greats have bitten the dust...Moss Breches, Amber Absolute, Japon Noir, even Vert d'Encens. Vintage Beau de Jour was a game changer for me. I think your ranking is very just Sebastian. Mine would be very close. And if Lost Cherry was beastmode and under another name, it probably would've been up there for me. 😄

Vert D'Encens might be mine very soon. I know someone has a bottle and is getting rid of it. Moss Breches for sure and also Japon Noir but Amber Absolute is not a fave. So many better Ambers out there. I didn't get the hype over that one.

@@ThePerfumeGuy Wouldn't really consider it an amber myself, more of an incense bomb. After going through a generous decant, I picked up an excellent clone of it last decade and now use it to layer with. Very buttery and far more balanced than the original. I guess a bit of Carlos (BFL) rubbed off on me. ☺ I'm sure he'd be proud of your list. 💛

Yep that's probably why I don't care for Amber Absolute too incense forward. I think the premier Amber fragrance is Ambre Preciuex. Love that stuff!! :)

My favorite of all time Private Blend fragrance by Tom Ford is a quite inconspicuous one - namely Rive d'Ambre. I love how it combines fresh and warm notes. It is citrusy and a tiny bit boozy at the same time. Wears perfectly on crisp spring days. Other favorites you didn't mention are Patchouli Absolute and Venetian Bergamot.

Velvet Gardenia was astounding, a proper chopped mushroom note, the only true gardenia I've ever smelt. Nothing has come close since, they have it in the 250 ml decanter bottle on the Harrods 6th floor for like 1.5k which is insane. I hope they bring it back properly.

I’ve started my TF journey in 2023. with Tobacco Oud and I’ve recently bought Tobacco Vanille. I’m not gonna speak about older formulations but they are my frags for life (Tobacco Vanille a bit more than Tobacco Oud) and they are very good performers on my skin. I’ve also tried Fougere d'Argent, Ebene Fume, Noir de Noir and FF. Fougere d’Argent smells great but a bit too expensive for what it is, Ebene Fume smells really good and it is on my wide wishlist, Noir de Noir is a bit feminine but interesting and FF is fine but not worth the price.

I restarted my fragrance journey in 2018 so I missed most of the originals that got discontinued but at least Tuscan Leather and Tobacco Oud are still here, I want a bottle of Tobacco Oud Intense I just haven't found one at a decent price 😥 Oud Minerale is a love for me, I have 2 bottles of it so I must be OK, I wish they never discontinue Tuscan Leather or Tobacco Oud. I have Soliel Blanc and bought my husband Tabacco Vanille. Absolutely the best scent I have ever smelled on him. I thought my next one would be Neroli Portifino, But I'm putting that on pause until I smell the new Vanilla

I’m so excited about oud minerale. Have a 10ml decant that I love but seriously over payed for and now I’m going to blind buy the new release the second it comes out. Super excited about OW parfum. Just picked up fougere d Argent, didn’t know it was being discontinued…. Might grab a back up. My Costco online has been selling Tom fords for half the price, not the biggest selection online, but usually $200 off the 100mls. It’s crazy. Thanks for all the up to date info on fragrances. Not even my rep at Nordstrom knew about the new oud minerale and OW P releases coming up. You’re the best.

I'm not usually a layering guy, but I like Oud Wood layered with Oud Wood Intense. It darkens up regular Oud Wood and works great on really cold days.

I missed out on Bois Marocaine because it didn't fit my Top 12. Not the biggest fan of it even though I have it. Amber Absolute there are so many better ambers than Amber Absolute so never fell for the hype over that one. Tobacco Oud Intense never smelled it! :)

Solely Blanc- I don't like it Rose Prick- will purchase Champagne Absolutel- sounds good Oud Wood - buying Plum Japonais- I love this. I'm glad I got some! Unfortunately Oud Wood has the performance equivalent of tap water. Five to ten minutes max, then it's gone. And no, it's not olfactory fatigue, others can't smell it either, and it's not a skin chemistry issue, as it works the same abysmal way on clothes as it does on skin. I think it's a cash grab, while it smells nice, it disappears in minutes.
