This thing is amazing ! One of the best purchases this year for me, and my favorite from TF. I get a boozy accord in this, do you get it ? It's woody, boozy, green, floral, very complex and blended to perfection. I'll have to try vert d'encens next, been hearing a lot about that one also. Glad you enjoyed this fragrance as much as I do !

Yeah I get a spicy boozy drydown from this as well. Also a bit of almost nutty quality once it settles down but I think that's from the roasted tonka. In any case this is like you said my favorite purchase of the year and I'm gonna be wearing my bottle a lot once it's fall.

I'm not really into green fragrances but I do like Tom Ford. So I'm very excited to try those :) My favorites from him is Venetian Bergamot, Tuscan Leather, and Oud Wood. Amazing stuff!

I'm late to finding out about this one. Came upon your old video when trying to get info on vdb. This is a unique great, green woody fragrance but in 2022 is discontinued. I found a decant of real thing and found a dupe on Dua's website. They smell very close.

Wow...so excited to hear this is good. Sounds right up my alley, I'm wearing B*Men today so you know I like my Anise note. So expensive though...$225 for 50 ml...yeeesh, steep. Glad to hear TF has come back strong after a few 'meh' releases. Great review Seb.

Just find a 4 other guys from some FB fragrance group and split 250ml decanter.$120 for 50ml is still steep , but it's close to 1/2 of the regular price.

My thoughts on these Vert fragrances? I had no idea they existed so I'm very grateful for your impressions. To be honest, I'm not too keen on the note of anise when it's used in fragrance (for often not a favorable experience for me)...however, I am very interested in putting my nose on Vert d'Encens since it looks be better suited for my tastes. Anyway, I'm going to give 'em try when I'm out sniffing at Saks or Bloomingdale. Much appreciated!

Vert d'encens is spectacular. Same DNA as Plum Japonais which I adore! Buying a bottle mañana!.....

Does the green note diminish with time? I have a sample of Vert D'Encens and the green note lessens an hour after, settling into a smoky, woody element. The scent out of a 250 ml bottle is pure heaven though, I may buy it and have it beside my computer and just pull out that big glass stopper every 1/2 hour and wear it as well of course.

Great review! I just received a sample of Vert Des Bois. After the initial few minutes after spraying I get a strong TF Oud Wood feel. So much so, that I am concerned I might have gotten a sample of the wrong juice! Going to do a side by side at home, but just wondering if you get any similarities with Vert Des Bois and Oud Wood?

I too love olives and I couldn't find a fragrance with a dominant olive note, the best that I could do is buy olive smiling baths until a month ago. Now I have a holy grail of olive fragrances in Parco Palladiano X: Olivo Bottega Veneta and I recommend you try it and if you like it I hope to see your review of it here.

I have some very high quality olive oil from Spain, and it smells and taste like fresh cut grass. Definitely a green note in olive.

The dry down of Vert De Bois is one the best I've smelled I'm awhile. Vert Boheme honestly smells like woman's perfume to me. At least in the opening.

Hey! I've just watched this video, great review! Just wanted to mention quickly that Vert des bois means Green of the Forest and not Green of the wood. Depending on the context Bois sometimes can mean Forest and not Wood! Voila!

Hmm ... my impressions are a bit different than yours.Sure i get the ouzo note , the licorish too , but i get a good amount of pruins and tonka too.Drydown to me is a sweet fruity-woody-boozie fragrance .It's not a gourmant fragrance-that's for sure,but it's sweet . I like it a lot , and i'll buy the 250ml , but still it's no even close to my top 5 Tom Ford private Blend.

No pruins but some tonka and mostly patch in the dry down. If this was at all fruity on me it would not have been as great of a fragrance as it is to me. The fruity notes would have been a let down.

Well i love plum/pruins in perfumery -my favorite note for sure , and Plum Japonais is my favorite fragrance of all time .As i said to me Vert Des Bois in the drydown is "sweet fruity-woody-boozie" combo , and that will allway be a winner in my book.
