The youngest brother has a Springfield model 15 Single Shot .22 in the pig pen. Check it out !! In the very beginning of this movie, it's when the other 2 brothers are trying to get the youngest to shoot the pig. It is a quick veiw of the rifle but, its one like I own and I am very proud to own one just like it. I'm guessing the rifle, I own is from the 30's way before they put serial numbers on firearms The rifle they used in this movie looks like the same rifle as mine. I know it's one firearm, I own, that I will never part with ! Til I'm gone from this world and I sure hope the next person that end up with it , treats it just as well as I have. Gosh, I just love this light weight single shot. 22 rifle. Mine has no butt plate on the end the all wood stock.Has one bolt under the forearm to hold the barrel to the stock together and medal trigger guard. Cannot say good enough about this rifle, it shoots so good I have hit pop cans 75 yards away with open sights.
