Tom probably doesn’t taste much because his sense of smell is disrupted (do to severe injury while filming), which also affects his ability to taste things. Kelly also mentioned that he cannot smell the eel anyway, so I think that’s why Tom just sit and barely eats any (ps: he is really one of the most dedicated actor)

Whoever complaining about Tom Hardy: he has ED. He doesn’t feel safe and cannot trust himself around food, although he loves it. He had clear previous knowledge of all food Lad bring, and he ate what he felt it was the safe choice. As a person who has ED since kid, this was incredibly relatable - the way he talked about his body, how much he ate and how he can’t stop, those are real ED experiences. If anyone can sympathize with this should be all the so called foodies, because this man loves food, but you are just judging a person with a disorder and this is really sad for you.
