Is it weird to say that Tom Hardy is an underrated actor? I mean I know he's a big star, and a big presence in the acting world, yet I don't ever seem to hear his name that much. Yet quietly, to me anyway, he's on the short list of most talented actors of his generation
@brandothecatmeow2 жыл бұрын
There is a difference between actor and celebrity. He's a very private guy, so he doesn't seek out the spotlight like a lot of celebs do. Most actors that are not celebs are the ones less heard of or that don't get much publicity. I personally think it's better that way. Less chance of being oversaturated. Yes, he is definitely extremely talented and always look for ward to whatever he's in.

You get used to those temperatures, I grew up and had no problem with - 25, now, having lived in the west for the last 10 years (lowest would be around -5 C except for a few trips to similar extreme environments in Norway) it's lot more difficult to take these temperatures. Another huge factor I noticed is humidity.. If its really dry, you can handle the extremes a lot easier, both cold and hot, that is my experience..

He was about to drive the 1,200bhp Williams Honda from 1986 and was saying he’d only driven it out of the paddock area and didn’t really know what to expect. About 5 mins later he launched it off the line bouncing it off the rev limiter. Full send. That got a lot of applause

I would LOVE to watch a documentary like this that braves the summer in Siberia. The hardships present then are probably JUST as challenging as the trek in winter. An expedition they called it. So the russians who use this road are all adventurers? It's a all a bit exaggerated imho
@henriks50084 жыл бұрын
Its always a bit exaggerated in doc´s like this. Its not likely the locals prep their vehicles for six months for normal use, but its better to on the safe side for the tourists.
@Ingens_Scherz4 жыл бұрын
All those trashed and broken down cars littering the side of that road would suggest otherwise. If the locals had the choice, they'd be opting highest spec convoys too, no doubt. But they don't so they can't - and so have to take the risk. "Adventure" in other words, but without the element of fun, and anything but exaggerated.
@Talynen4 жыл бұрын
That's just the start as well. The title? Coldest place on EARTH - nope. Not even close. Then you watch the video and it's coldest ROAD in the world, to the coldest INHABITED place on Earth. Just.... why? How about release a video without sensationalizing it so hard that Fifth Gear forgets what reality is, and end up outright lying about the content? How about editing the piece in another direction, where we empathize with the people who have to live with this weather and the challenges they face instead of trying to make out Tom Hardy as some sort of 21st century Sir Edmund Hillary? They show up to the challenge wearing blue jeans. BLUE JEANS! Anyone who has taken a single mountaineering class, or was in Boy Scouts, has heard that cotton is the worst material you can have for staying warm in wet and cold weather. Plus, look at the tires on the car and compare it to the the tires on a WRC car for Rally Sweden. One stud every couple of tread blocks, just on the outer shoulder? What a joke! I mean, people complain about clickbait KZbinrs - gee, I wonder where it started? Ah, yeah, major broadcasting networks like the BBC with marketing and legal departments who push the boundaries on how much they can lie to our faces without making it worth anyone's time to sue them over it.
