great lesson for young players like myself! He is so selective with his vibrato, it shows how in command of the melody he is even though he is not doing anything fancy. really pulls the listener in!

Tom is great as always. Logical, lyrical and deceivingly simple. That's all one can say about this video.

That's pretty 'spare' just a horn and piano, reminiscent of some of the playing chet did in his later years. It takes great artistry to manage it. Proof of Harrell's gifts as a player. Worthy of transcription!!
