This guy has almost earned the right to put his Dog and cat on the team if he wanted to.

NONSENSE. Tell that to the much better player who didn't get this opportunity. Izzo's son is on the team because of NEPOTISM plain and simple. Some other, better player lost an earned opportunity so Izzo's son could be on his team, and get practice reps and game time. Izzo's son wasn't even a decent small school player in high school, not even close to good enough to play at a weak Division 3 school. Why is this OK just because Izzo is successful and fans like him?

@@a1aprospects470 so what. Save your big collage words for your friends if ya have any. Fancy Dan words over a coach putting his son on his team. Haa. Like you wouldn't have. Well maybe not. Ya probably beat your no goods .

@@jonhammer7109 What do my word choice and friends have to do with a coach putting his own son on a major college team and denying the opportunity to a player who earned the chance? It is PATHETIC, DISHONORABLE, AND CRAPPY. Guess you can't imagine it happening to you or your son... maybe you just have so little ability it's not something you ever needed to think about. Sorry you like Izzo, but doing this makes him a bad guy. Sad that your love for Izzo doesn't allow you to admit he did anything wrong. And unlike you... I've coached many teams and NEVER gave my sons an advantage. Ever.

If coach wants to pay for Stephen scholarship I commend him what better way to teach your kid teamwork and responsibility and if that happens to be on the same team wonderful I think coach is doing the right thing

At what point did Izzo ever do this to lose? If he son sucks, he's not going to play or keep a roster spot. He's not on a scholarship.

He's a walk on, not a scholarship player. Did any kid who wanted to walk on get turned away? If so who? After all Tom Izzo has done not just for the basketball program but for the school as well, I don't see why fans are complaining. This kid isn't going to get favoritism from dad either he will be all over him the same way he is his starters. Give it a rest folks.

MSU Dawg he doesn’t deserve it tho, he averaged 1.1 ppg in high school
@msudawg6855 жыл бұрын
Josh Elliott who are you to decide whether or not he deserves it? He's going to be on the scout team. Tell me did any kid try to walk on who was better than him and got turned away by Izzo himself? If not, then there is no nepotism involved here.

Definitely took a roster spot from someone though.
