He also penned "This Masquerade", "A Song For You" and "Superstar" just to reference his incredible songwriting ability and vastly underrated musical, arranging and production talents. Reading his biography that contains GREAT stories and insight surrounding the "Mad Dogs and Englishmen" experience and Joe's state of mind at the time. :)

I was a teenager listening to these two at this time. I was in love with Sir Tom and his magnificent voice. Still am at age 71. I really thought back then that Joe Cocker had cerebral palsy! I loved his music, but his movements were so odd. Tom insisted he be able to choose his guests for his variety show, and he could sing any genre, any style with absolutely everyone. The 60s and 70s had the best musicians and vocalists....period.

Amazing duo of soul power. Heaven and Earth concept ; Tom Jones' soul screaming and Joe Cocker's low growl , with Joe Cocker playing some leftie air bass.

I used to love watching your show Sir Tom! It was the best variety show their ever was. You could sing beside anyone of the stars on your show and make it so entertaining. Pure raw talent, everyone of them! Your duets blew me away. What an awful thing the networks did that led to the cancellation of the greatest variety show in history! I was so angry and upset! I remember even writing the networks in protest. But like the talented gentleman you are, you continued your amazing career! Kudos to you Sir Tom!

"No" Joe Cocker Didn't have Cerebral palsy!! He had featured Expressive body Movements while On stage. He died of lung cancer. Who else is watching this wonderful show On December 7th 2022 the best music of all time.

Watched a documentary on Joe a few years ago and fell in love with him , what a performer and singer but very shy guy , he eventually found peace in nature and the great outdoors. RIP Joe you will be truly missed. Can't miss out the great Tom Jones either , another legend in his own right .

If I recall he lived in Colorado for many years

@@jennifersman7990 That's correct he spent a lot of his time out walking and exploring the desert and mountains. He enjoyed his own company and was at peace .

This is awesome. These are icons of music in an era where true talent existed. Unlike most of the musicians of today. I'm now in my 40s and I've been going back in time to discover and learn more about the musicians of the past. What an era with so much talent. Those who lived in these times are truly blessed. I would love to travel back in time and go to the 60s and 70s

My Mom never sat down in fact I think the only time she ever did for any length of time was when Tom Jones was on and she never missed a beat. I think my Dad was getting a tad bit jealous. Memories forever….,,,,
