I'm Growing Old is my favorite. 💜 Growing old is a privilege and a challenge. I grew old too (now 65), but my best friend is a little Hawaiian lady who is 87. She has great positive Energy which inspires me. Your energy and outlook inspires me, too! I almost got to see you perform in San Jose, but it was cancelled, and I was so heartbroken. Hopefully, I WILL get to see/hear you perform before one of us passes away. 😊 I luv every song you've ever sung, but most of all, 'What's New, Pussycat", which I scream-sing in my truck while I drive the lonely highway to town in Texas, where I live. Keep growing old, Mr. Tom Jones! This world needs You! 💗💗💗

I am 68 and I was fortunate to have seen Janis Joplin in Kansas City, Kansas at The Memorial Hall Auditorium on a Sunday afternoon in 1969 , I don't remember the month but she was with The Full Tilt Boogie Band and Sea Train opened the show, she was wonderful, I was only 14 or 15 and my friend Steve Sassman and I went, his Mom dropped us off and after the show we went to McDonald's and ate $.15 cheeseburgers and$.12 fries , Janis did two shows that day and we went to the early one, she was a great singer and I will always remember her, RIP Janis

I love your story/experience!! Janis ❤ I'm thinking likely Kansas - city/state tax wasn't the same in Suffolk County on Long Island. Why you got more for your money. McDonald's in my hometown opened in 1970. Three burgers, one fries, one fountain soda, for 96 cents. I can't remember if the burgers were cheeseburgers. (But I would think they were.) I distinctly remember always getting 4 cents change back. Back in the day. 😊

What's interesting is that they clearly never intended to dance. Janis didn't like and wouldn't sing on the set they built for her, so they had to tear it down and improvise. (That's why the camera angles were so bad.) Those people were obviously just sitting there as window dressing at the start. But one by one, they were inspired to get up and boogie. Tom, Janis and that smokin' band were irresistible.

Even in recent years, check out his "Praise and blame" album. It's all there. But this duet? Makes my day every time I watch it.

Pensabas en música de gente mayor, porque estabas a años luz de. entender a la gente mayor, es decir eras un mocoso impertinente.

Sir Tom and Janis Joplin, now that’s a dynamic duo! Still watching and enjoying June 2021 two of my favorite entertainers in the world! Rest and Rock in Peace Lady Janis, your legacy will live on forever! Sir Tom you are blessed with a God given gift of a voice that is as strong and powerful now as it was here back in the day! You’ve given so much of yourself to your millions of fans throughout the decades! God bless you and keep you! Thank you both for sharing your wonderful talent!
